Well this would be the one time I wish Jones took after Washington. Correct me if I'm wrong but Webster Filmore started for you last season and got markedly better as season progressed. He has been a mainstay for the past 2 seasons when once you lost Ron Jackson and Haygood and had no other big. He's not as flashy but works really hard and gives tremendous effort on both ends of the floor. I would have thought for sure he would have earned at least double digit minutes for the work he's already put in. Of he does play more thay rebounding margin would have been a lot different. It was a few guys from last season that didn't even scratch I don't believe, Jeremy Jones, Milton Matthew's (who was recruited as a shooter). And as small as he was, we let one of our best 3 pt shooters walk. Did Harry foul out ? Got back from the lodge meeting and only saw the last few moments. Our best 3 point shooter is Harry M . Like it are not the last moments of this game Harry should have been on the floor because of his 3 point abilities . Will watch the Game later today.

3 quick cheap fouls put him on 4 . Guard was smart and he wasn’t.

VERY TRUE! Those misses are multiplied over the 2nd half. I’m only giving Kam a hard time because he is the PG, he handles the ball the most and has to deliver in crunch time since he has the ball so much. Hey, ease up. We've all watched Kam for years and we know what he gives us... someone mature to run the floor. If we had someone better, put him out there. But for now, he is what he is.

I'm not liking all these positive reactions to a lose. Sorry, I'm not built like that. An L is an L is an L. Y'all carry on!

I'd never thought I'd say this but this one is not on Jones' coaching. We have no real shooters until Powell is able to get on the court. Whatley shot waaaay too much. Tyler Maye is our secret weapon. Watson is a plyer but he was trying to do too much at times. Rebounding is still an issue too many second shots. Should have won this for sure. Reason for optimism: Watson (and Powell) is a freshman. Smith joins the team in December. Cause for pause: Free throws; not sure how good UNCG is this year until they play someone else. pretty much sums it up. we should've went to maye down the stretch, he was our most "efficient" scorer last night. watson is a very gifted athlete but he took too many "ill-advised" shots down the stretch. if we had played "smarter" down the stretch, we would've won that game...

I'm not liking all these positive reactions to a lose. Sorry, I'm not built like that. An L is an L is an L. Y'all carry on! its possible to look good as a team and still lose. given how we got embarrassingly "blown out" by uncg last season in our own house, last night's game represented a step in the right direction. yeah, we should be upset with the loss but there are a lot of "positives" that can be taken away from that game and i think that's what most folk are trying to say. but i don't think anybody is happy about the loss...

Maybe I'm wrong, but here are my observations:
1) Sorely lacking an inside presence. I can't understand why some Aggies are excited about a 7 footer who plays on the perimeter and gets outrebounded by 6'4 guys.
2) Our guards can't shoot. Period. What kind of 1 goes 1-7 from the field and 2-8 from the line?
3) I'm aware of injuries taking a toll on our programs, but missing Harris and Powell and maybe others, is a concern. What's up with this? Are practices/life on campus that brutal?
4) I tried to tell you guys to be "cautiously optimistic" about our chances. I feel the same about what Powell and the guy from UCF will produce.

What's the story with Blake Harris, was he in the building last night?

Im not concerned. We played a new-found rival. We are still trying to see who will ball. Kam will be better. The team just has to gel. One thing though. We are in a new league and the target is on the back of Big Bad, Proud, Arrogant Alums, A&T. We are in a different world Fam. Now, with that being said, we must make Club Corbett Crazy. And win every game here for starters.
The preseason, get the rotations together, learn tendencies ect. Play to Win! And to get ready for the League.

What's the story with Blake Harris, was he in the building last night? I understand, from what I believe to be a reliable source and from the GHOE open practice, that he's not on the team anymore.

Oh, and in addition to Fts (59.1%), 3 pt shooting was ABYSMAL last night...2-20 (10%).
Either stop taking so many or make them.

That's probably a good thing. I believe during the offseason we made a concerted effort to reduce the amount of crazy we had on our roster.
