I do believe those folks were arrested. Prosecutors won't pursue death penalty in deaths of 2 N.C. A&T students By Danielle Battaglia May 28, 2019
GREENSBORO — A woman who shouted "Free Jacques!" before leaving a court hearing in a first-degree murder case Tuesday got called back before the judge. "We're going to keep this respectful," Superior Court Judge Lora Cubbage told the woman after bailiffs brought her back to the courtroom. "If you do it everyone thinks it is OK. Let's not do that." The woman, who never identified herself, told the judge she understood. Cubbage let her leave without holding her in contempt. Cubbage had already warned those in the gallery not to talk during the beginning of Tuesday's court session. Some ignored that warning, calling out "We love you Jacques," when bailiffs brought Lawrence Jacques Baird into the courtroom and again later in the hearing after prosecutors said they would not seek the death penalty against him. Baird, 28, is accused of killing Alisia Dieudonne, 19, of Homewood, Ill., and Ahmad Campbell, 21, of Kitrell, on Oct. 2, 2016. Prosecutors had scheduled Baird's hearing Tuesday to announce their decision. Baird faces two counts of first-degree murder, and one count each of discharging a firearm into an occupied property and possession of a firearm by a felon. The two N.C. A&T students were shot to death in a back room of a Campus Evolution Villages apartment during a party. In 2016, party host Nicholas Jeffers said that he had invited a few friends over for a gathering. But hundreds showed up after someone posted about the party on social media. Jeffers tried to get the uninvited guests to leave but a fight erupted. And then shots were fired outside, with bullets going through the apartment wall to strike Dieudonne and Campbell. Police said interviews and evidence led them to suspect Baird, who was arrested in 2018. No one knows the answer that is right in front of us staring Us in the face . Do black lives matter to black people .

Do black lives matter to black people? Evidently only when white people tell us they do. (See Haitians at the border) I refuse to believe this but this is your opinion which I respect yet disagree agreeably. Coming or growing up in the period of activism our unity self love respect for each other 70's era; if we could somehow take a trans-temporal leap we could bring this country to its knees, simply due to the power of being on that ancient code. Why should I hate on members of this platform some of whom thinks I am a nut case should be in a strat jacket. why should I or any of us be envious of each other? Why? In the Celebration Bowl or the Tarik exhibition; after the game my wife and I went out to dinner with some friends in Atlanta. During the discourse I said to my friend who happens to be a Republican that Donald Trump would be the president. Well I was dismissed as being out there for which I am. I felt down for this was/is a friend. Only when I read in the NY Times December 2015 edition that Dr. Frances Cress Welsing had stated the same in an interview did I feel vindicated.
You see the divides states are built on a foundation of institutionalized racism plain and simple. In fact whenever a society extols extreme patriotism Fascism is incipient.

This has nothing to do with politics , Fascism or Patriotism . I have to agree to disagree with you both after thinking about both statements. Violence is behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, intimidate , control or kill someone or something. This is about Evil people doing Evil things for what ever reason. It's just in this situation it's more of the same BOBC ( Black On Black Crime) . You have Evil people that walk this earth that do Evil things from all race and ethic backgrounds. People need to stop making excuses..i.e Politics, Fascism, Patriotism and the list goes on, stop with the BS and address the fact that People can be and do Evil just because they enjoy the Fear Factor, Rush and Control over others that it gives. Being a child raised in the 50-60-70 those same individuals were present and the same excuses used then that are used now .

(See Haitians at the border) That is an ugly reality. the border issue is simply if you black get back; if you brown turn around; used to be if you brown stick around. It is apparent that the treatment of the Haitians is racist and will be the implosion of the democratic agenda. It was due to the Haitian revolution that help america be free as well as most of Latin america. Until we people who are darker than blue lift our voices against this madness we are doomed. There has got to be an internal template to alleviate the madness the self hatred. At this moment things are the same yet different.

As much as it hurts me to say this , most Blacks of other nationalities do not perceive themselves as being black the same ask black Americans in the United States do , they are Black by Convenience and when it benefits their Narrative . Any other time they are Brazilian ,Argentines ,Jamaican African ,German or any other nationality that has a large Afro-whatever population. Back to topic this is not self hatred of our fellow brothren . It is just evil people doing Evil things .

I think it is self-hatred pure and simple. Over the summer we went to the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka. They showed the famous picture of the young Black girl choosing the white doll over the Black one that led to desegregation and it made me think:
How does desegregating schools help brown children learn to love their own kind? It doesn't.
That's the problem that should have been addressed then and wasn't and still isn't being addressed today. We have perpetual self-hatred and it has wormed its way into our music and lives to the point it's ok to call our women bitches and hoes and to call each other n-words (the latter of which I'm guilty myself).

Though of topic as long as you are black you are an African. We are a unique people from a great land and past. We are not cursed nor has the Most High abandoned us most or some of us have abandoned Him. Yet despite this soon our people will come to realize that black is truly beautiful. Africa gave Jesus sancuary as well as the Prophet Muhammad when he was being pursued from Arabia it was the people of the elephants that protected him. so I would say let's not despair but do right by one another.

To paraphrase one of the only NCCU Eagles that I like in Phonte, this education "begins at home." I'm conflicted on that one. My education was half help your brothers out and half steer clear of the knucklehead brothers. Where do you draw the line. We all have had run ins with a number of cats that never got the education at home. How do you approach them?

Lo, I was in the grocery store a couple of weeks ago and overheard a gentleman talking to somebody on his cell phone after he'd made it a point to stop talking, smile a genuine smile at me, and say "how you doing today brother?" He went back to his conversation and was explaining to the other party that he felt that we simply did not love one another and he was going to do his part by greeting his brothers with genuine love every time he had the opportunity. I went back up to him and gave him dap and a small hug and told him about my experience at the Brown v. Board site and how I felt what he was doing could really help overcome the inherent dislike we seem to have carried for one another since the scramble for Africa.

I guess we're the talented tenth in that pretty much everybody posting on this forum has had opportunities that many of our people have not. It's our burden to figure it out and that's the hard part.
I remember once in high school my friends and I got into a fight with some knuckleheads from East Atlanta that crashed my boy's sister's bday party. We were actually being rather cordial but they were grabbing behinds and cussing and carrying on and my boy's mother told us to get them to leave. We told them the lady of the house said they had to go and out came the "F that B!" They invited us outside to fight and I was like "come on brothers, we ain't got do all that." Dude says "you ain't my brother, my daddy ain't ____ inside yo ho a$$ mama!"
I threw the first punch.
At the end of the day how do we even deal with the portion of our population that even refuses to be civil?
