Here's my worry... 1. Our defense sucked in our last game (Celebration Bowl 2019) 2. Ja maine isn't as effective if the line doesn't give him an opening. 3. Our DBs focus on tackling receivers after the catch rather than denying the pass completion. 4. Inexperienced QBs scare the hell out of me. 5. A mobile accurate QB is kriponite to our defense.

Hopefully with this being "somewhat" like a homecoming for Fowler he'll play lights out. You're right. His people should be in there deep also.

Contrary to popular belief Furman is not an option team. They will run it occasionalky but definitely not an option team. FWIW Furman was picked to win the SoCon in the spring but for whatever reason fell on its face. Lost to eventual champion VMI on the road by one point, the second game when a late botched snap on the VMI 20 cost them the game. Went downhill from there. All Paladin fans are hoping for a turnaround but the low expectations are understandable after the disappointing spring season,

FURMAN PRESEASON PREVIEW: DEFENSIVE LINE"It (defensive line) is probably one of the strengths of our team in terms of numbers and depth," said head coach Clay Hendrix following Sunday's two-hour practice. "There's some talent there, good size, and certainly a lot of experience, along with some pass rushing ability. They played well last season, and I think they will be a really good leadership group for our football team." In the spring Furman's defense ranked consistently among Southern Conference leaders in most every category: scoring defense (20.4 ppg/2nd); rushing defense (127.1 ypg/2nd), and total defense (323.4 ppg/3rd). There's reason to believe the fall campaign can yield similar numbers. The core of the Paladin defensive front, which covers three positions — nose guard, tackle, and end — features five players who have combined to log 144 games, 40 starts, 259 tackles, 35.5 tackles for-loss, and 11 sacks. The group includes Landon Lawrence (6-3, 260, 5th), Parker Stokes (6-0, 288, 5th), Matt Sochovka (6-4, 289, R-Sr.), London Lewis (6-4, 291, Sr.), and Cameron Coleman (6-3, 304, R-Jr.). Our speed and size should secure a win over Furman. If we lose, we beat ourselves.

Don't let Aggieswag see this Furman Fan Zone Headlining the list of offerings is the new Furman Fan Zone, which will serve as the area for all fans to engage in an energetic and fun pre-game atmosphere, with live music through the Ingles Concert Series. Located adjacent to Paladin Stadium, the Fan Zone will open three hours prior to the game and close 30 minutes before kickoff. Admission is free. The September 4 home opener against North Carolina A&T will debut the live music series with Asheville funk and blues band, Lyric, on the Ingles Concert Stage. Food trucks will be on hand in the Fan Zone, as will a beer vendor station. Among food trucks set to join the rotation are The Noodle Lady, The Nomadik Few, El Paso Taco Truck, Poke Yama, Taco Brothers, Pound 4 Pound, Roll-In Cuban, Seoul Republix, and Everything Eggroll. The Fan Zone also will feature tailgate games, inflatables, face painting, balloon artists, sponsor tables, as well as special appearances from the Furman University Band and Spirit Squads. Fans can reserve a tailgate spot in the Fan Zone, along with turnkey service and catering, by calling the Furman Ticket Office at 864-294-3099.

The one thing I will say is that they have sponsors for the entertainment and I'm sure the food trucks pay to serve. So, it's easier not to charge when you have sponsorship dollars coming in.

Their "Fan Zone" is nothing more than what we do in the parking lot by the baseball stadium during GHOE (at least), except I don't believe we beer available.

Except our fan zone doesn’t doesn’t have any of this… We have a fence around the stadium with no activities that we call a fan zone. Our fan zone did nothing more than move the stadium entrance to the street🤷🏾♂️

What I'm saying is that what they call their "Fan Zone" is what we do at our bball stadium parking lot. The 2 schools have just named to 2 areas differently.

True, however we only have that at the baseball stadium during homecoming. Correct me if I’m wrong.
