If you run beside Richardson, it can mentally demoralize you seeing her run relatively effortlessly as you're doing everything humanly possible to stay in the shot. Richardson ran a 10.64 and let up at the end. Sturgis ran a 10.74 last week in the NCAAs....and that was an NCAA record... She also may be burnt out from running so many collegiate races in comparison to the pros. TT Tery (2nd to Cambrea in NCAA finals) ran a similar time. I agree…she ran the 100 and 200 so her body is definitely fatigued

Ms. Hayes from Livingstone looked strong winning the 3rd heat of the 400M!

She just got beat which is a learning experience as they say " Welcome to the Pro's . Richardson had to go through the same learning curve. She knows now that she has to bring that Fire everyday . Personally I think that people were over looking the the old heads because of the unbelievable times that the college kids have been running but not realizing that old heads are Pro's for a reason. She will be alright now that she knows what she is up against. TRUTHFULLY I don't think that too many of the young guns are going to make the team . Mu maybe the only young gun on the women's side and possibly it could be the same on the men's side with a few making the team . Cambrea gave it her all no excuses are needed. The 200 should be interesting!! She may get lucky and make the relay pool .

Trevor got a bad lane draw in the finals (Ln 8)..Randolph (Ln 6) They are tripping on these lanes…I don’t understand how they are assigning lanes Usually the individuals with the fastest times get the middle lanes 4,5,and 6 are the show lanes , 7 hit and miss , 8 is a lane for a guy that's a frontrunner, 1,2 tough and 3 can be a hit and miss . Times are very important in the semi's going into the finals because your time could be the difference between getting a Preferred Lane or a bad one . Let's hope Trevor's time will get him into the Relay Pool . Because he is going to have to run no less then 44.6 this 400 is going to be HOT.

Lane 7 is actually the best lane on the track.

On a different note I heard the top six are actually participating in events and all 8 are headed to the Olympics. The last two will be reserved….
They have a mixed 4x400 this year, hence the reason for 6 participating versus 4, has anyone else heard this?

I thought they always took extras . Let 1or 2 pool runners run during the preliminary rounds to keep the stars rested. I thought The best lane is suppose to go to the best time in the semi finals...I wanted our guys inside Norman and Cherry ( his AAU/ summer coach was an Aggie)
