When I was in the ROTC at A&T I was the responsible for the "Athletes Platoon." Bob Beamon was in that platoon his Freshman year at A&T. He transferred out of A&T and the rest is history. Say what?!?! Beamon was in AggieLand! lol, coach murray used to always remind me that beamon jumped in the same ole raggedy pit that i used to complain to him about ... That can only mean that she is going Pro ! Wow, that was quick! Personally I will be sorry to see her go but I understand...gotta make that cheddar when the opportunity comes up. I've been worried about the coach leaving and bang... one of our newest and brightest stars is leaving. Good luck to her and I hope we've got another potential star waiting to replace her. |

That can only mean that she is going Pro ! That's what I was thinking but I didn't want to think it. There's money out there. The young lady (McLaughlin) from Kentucky turned pro after her freshman year and signed a contract with New Balance estimated at $1.5 million. With that 100/200 double there are at least low six figures waiting for Sturgis. Depending on how she does in the trials, maybe more. |

When White graduated , Sturgis had already finished 3rd in the NCAAs so we knew she was ready to star. Saabman , do you know something we don't know about reloading that we don't or is that just an optimist statement ?
When Belcher signed with Nike during the World Track Chanpionships ( think that was it) qualifying rounds he wore A&T in the first round and Nike in the finals

With what A&T has coming back added in with the recruits we should not miss a beat on the men's side. As for the women our Sprint Corps looks to be adequate . Hopefully we can pick up the middle and long distance runners we are recruiting optimism may be but I would like to think Fact . |
