Look at the process... Do not let people personal opinion influence you. Search Advisory Committee recommends three (3) unranked candidates to N.C. A&T Board of Trustees Through April 2024 • N.C. A&T Board of Trustees recommends three (3) unranked candidates to UNC System President Ok, so let's start here. Have those two steps been completed? Maybe they can't agree on three names.

The delay (if it exists) should be communicated to the public next week If not, it's the SONS.

Whew.
Lots of guessing, assumptions, agonizing, hand-wringing, etc. over this when there's more than a month before Dr. Martin is supposed to be ending his tenure.

The application deadline was the end of February. This is a update in March from the News and Observer when they updated all the chancellor's searches in the UNC System. A summary of the job, called a leadership profile, became available in early February. The priority deadline for candidates to apply was Feb. 29, and the committee is expected to review and interview candidates through April. www.newsobserver.com/news/local/education/article286731925.html

Folks like A&T-roy, aggieblackie, Professor and others like to be performative on this board and pretend like any discussion about the topic is an over-reaction. Yet here they are in this very thread, checking for the latest updates just like everyone else.
The entire A&T fanbase is wondering what is happening with the selection of our next chancellor. It is a big deal. The lack of information at this point in the process is not normal.

Bornthrilla how do you know what the normal process is? The reason you want them to hurry up and make a decision is so that you can make your know it all stupid azz criticisms of the choice.
Last time I checked Chancellor Martin is still on the job. Hold your britches "young blood" and be patient. You will get a chance to vent and criticize the choice sooner rather than later.

I'm most perturbed by the number of "assumptions/guesses" people make and act like they're facts that turn into the hand-wringing, etc.

What do you all think of the process? Part of me likes leadership going out…doing the research and making the recommendations…the other parts of me want full disclosure and input at all stages.
Both paths have their down falls. Remember when FSU got a new chancellor and everyone was ready to sack the guy before he even got started…once he was announced they questioned everything and liked nothing. Now you don’t hear that stuff from the broncos…then there’s FAMU and every decision that leadership makes is questioned and undermined to the nth degree.
How do we strike a balance?

WSSU's Interim Chancellor would be an excellent selection.

Yeah, the Broncos raised Hell over the Chancellor and now they have to admit that he's done a very good job. I don't know if I needed to see the Top Ten, but knowing who the Top Three are would've been nice. At the end of the day, they put together a strong Committee, full of very capable people. I think we will be fine.

WSSU's Interim Chancellor would be an excellent selection. For Winston or for us?
