No, this is across college Athletics, my concern is the grass is not always greener.
More importantly how do you recruit as a HC now, I assume you count all cats in the portal as gone, and recruit to fill that scholly.
There are going to be so many cats winding up out in the cold/D2.

Coach Jones will definitely have New Team next that's a lot players leaving is there something else going on... I'm seeing a trend. The players left that will be on our roster at the 2/3: Kenyon Duling: 6-2, 205 lbs Milton Matthews: 6-3, 185 lbs Chase McDuffie: 6-5, 190 lbs Jeremy Robinson: 6-5, 215 lbs Jaylen Jackson: 6-6, 190 lbs We appear to be going bigger at the 2/3 as we begin play in the Big South. And I don't think the plan is for Chase/Jaylen to ride the pine as freshmen. It's more likely to play them as much as their brains can stand in Year 1. The push towards playing time was likely going to lean this way. It looks like Tyler made a business decision.

There were about 3-4 kids who were redshirts this year that were probably promised spots. Added in with the three new recruits and I think this is where some of the movement is coming from. The Jones boys didn't cut it and it was not a given that Parker and Maye would have been granted an extra season at the beginning of the year. Just my thoughts.

I'll play this hypothetical game for a quick sec. The walk-ons that I know of are: Trey Crews Ahmad Hamilton Jibril McCormick Justin Brooks Out of those, the only one I could see getting a scholarship next year is Brooks, who has a brother down the road in Chapel Hill by the name of Garrison. But his name is not in the transfer portal... yet. And that's why we're doing this transfer portal thread. You never know who's gonna show up.

Like I said last week we were going to need to add a point guard in one of now five open scholarahip spots.
I know everyone is saying Langley could go either way but I strongly suspect he will be long gone and off to the European League by this summer.

Right. However, we definitely need a PG. ...because Blake Harris is NOT a point guard, but he's not a shooting guard either. But he's really fast!

Make that 2 PGs and we better be doing all we can to woo Dywane and Zaire Wade to get Zaire to sign with us. Full-Court press on HBCUs being the spot for top BBall talent post-George Floyd.

Former 4 start recruit led LaSalle in scoring. He has some serious hops as well
We will need a PG but I imagine Blake will get the early nod. I kinda expect us to go really fast next year even faster than we did in 2019 - 2020. If you can rebound the ball well you can play transition go up and down the court. I think Jones wanted to play fast however you can’t do that taking the ball out of bounds. Most of our transition work this year was just a result of good defense and benefiting from turnovers
Going really fast will benefit Blake especially having some horses that can run the floor with him. He suffered last year because we were so often forced into a half court set due to very poor rebounding .

It definitely seems like an upgrade to the 2 guards that transferred out. Beatty shot 36% behind the 3 pt line and 83% from the FT line. However, we still need a PG and a veteran big man.
