Yea, this is shaping up as another year of growing pains. If this team can't get together during the off season, especially during the summer sessions, I think we will struggle with some of the same deficiencies due to the lack of continuity.
Are there still Summer Basketball Leagues in NC?

I think we will have enough of a nucleus to build from in 2021. The guard rotations last year were just 2 deep. Blake, Maye, and Duling are good guard trio to build from and who knows maybe Kam
Plus the newcomers are and upgrade in talent

I think we'll actually be in better shape if we have a more consistent summer. 1 - Kam*, Blake 2 - Maye, Duling, Milton Matthews 3 - Jeremy Robinson 4/5 - Webb, Harry That's 8 scholarship spots. Add Chase McDuffie at the 2/3, Jaylen Jackson at the 3 & Dunc Powell at the 4/5... and we're at 11. So 2-3 more scholarship spots by my count, depending on how Kam plays this.

i think cleveland realized that he'd have a very difficult time trying to start ahead of blake or maye if they return and probably didn't wanna come off the bench in his 3rd year. but i agree with frisco, assuming blake and maye returns and now knowing that harry will be back along with the "vastly improved" filmore, that's a very good foundation to build from. then you throw "4 star" recruit powell into the equation and you could arguably go with those guys as your starting 5.
even without kam (though i hope he returns), that's a very viable starting 5...

The wildcard here IMO is Milton Matthews. He didn't get nearly the burn that Fred got as a true freshman. But this was basically a redshirt year. And Milton most likely didn't pick up a bunch of bad habits that he has to unlearn. That would be a plus. I would pay close attention to Milton's progression as a shooter heading into the fall.

His shooting was horrible though, That was mainly a function of limited shot attempts, which is not uncommon for freshman. Milton could have gone 4 of 5 from 3-pt range in one game and went from 25.0% to 33.3% 3-pt shooting. And Milton's %s weren't that far off from Fred, who unfortunately regressed from year 1 to year 2. That's why I say it's important for some freshmen to not get a bunch of PT and learn bad habits that they have to unlearn. But Milton's MO from HS is his shooting and I could see that in the games he played this year. The talent is there. Those misses hitting the front of the rim as a true freshman have a better chance of swishing through as a redshirt freshman/sophomore with the right offseason work. So you may not see it, and that's OK. But Milton's development is a wildcard for me.

I'm looking at Last Chance U -Basketball on Netflix (check it out). It will take a special kind of JUCO (character-wise) to come in and be successful at A&T. If they come in thinking they are God's gift to basketball, they will fail.
