As someone said, you have to run an offense that fits your personnel...If you have a team that does not shoot well, you have to scrap on defense and make your defense your offense..

Lol man its OOC. Just need to focus on winning the MEAC and getting better LOL! Win the MEAC LOL! Bad execution ain’t gonna win the MEAC. You think these loses are against lock-down defensive pressure. Ever heard the term “self-check”, that’s our offense!

Yall can talk about talent all day, but athleticism is part of talent in my book and Last year's team was way more athletic. Waaaay more! This season about to be long.

Harry played 8 minutes..........A 6”11 guy is not gone come in and be able to make significant contributions like a guard might heat up... this is so wrong 😑 That's BS a 6'11" guy can turn a game around just as easily as a 6' guard or guards that dribble all day and try to one up each other by playing 1 on 5 . Harry should at least touch the ball every possession on offense but that is not the case here . You had open mid range looks all night because the packed the lane but we don't have the 3 point shooters Hell Harry is better from the 3 point line then both our starting guards but every time he shoots one it seems like Jones pulls out his hook. There is know way that a 6'11" player with Harry's up side should only be playing 8 minutes. Keep this BS up and Harry's going to be Ghost. You not following me what I am saying is Harry played 8 minutes total . To start the game 2 minutes what is a big gone do in two minutes as in most cases he does not create his own shot. I was one of the first people that said off should go through Harry in a post kick out offense or let Work Harry top of the key setting a screen with the ball coming back to him for a 3 or dumping ball off to the cutter

Just so we all know
NSU is 3-1 beat Radford and James Madison Morgan knocked off Iona by 10 tonight And for comparison Hampton beat GW FAMU loss to Georgia by 10 missing and they were missing 2 starters
Let’s not think we can be MEAC good playing like we are

Lol man its OOC. Just need to focus on winning the MEAC and getting better The time to get better is right now...during the non-conference season.
We've only played two teams that we probably wouldn't beat under any circumstances, Illinois and Stanford. We should have beaten or had very close games with everyone else.

This season about to be long. 4sure Monster but that is the problem with Jones he is coaching this team based on last year's results. You can't make a mule a thoroughbred but you can teach it to plow a field . Jones needs to coach to his players strengths and use more ball movement and less dribbling. This is not what is happening. Also that kid from state should not be on the floor with Kam because the both dribble to much Kam I can take but both of them at the same time is just a little too much.

It’s easy to defend dribblers that can’t shoot. If they can pass don’t leave your man and make Kam shoot...,duhhh! Then if he misses we have no rebounders because it looks like on the shot everybody runs back on defense rather than rebound. Absolutely no offense rebound boxouts! I had to read this twice. Who's recruiting our players, Stevie Wonders? Did these guys play better than this in high school? Can Coach Jones repair this team? I guess we'll find out this season.

I saw that post and you are correct. Jones seems to like pulling Harry when he gets some type of rhythm . It's almost like Jones is trying to take Harry's confidence away .

Have not had the opportunity to watch a game. It is disappointing that the momentum from last year seems to be lost.
What seems to be the biggest issue? Have opponents caught on to our style of play and we have no made adjustments? Lack of chemistry? Offense flat?

Everyone should run suicides and practice keeping their arms up at their next practice. As well as just jumping up and down at the rim like there’s an imaginary ball bouncing off the goal to the left, right, and center . Someone tell Kam stop being scared to shoot , you’d think by now he would’ve found his shot or a shot .

I am not a Harry fan. To me he is like a project in our coaches eyes. However, the coach does yank him too soon and he is the best Big that we have.
If our coach would just let him play longer when he is in the game it would make a difference. Tonight the little time he played the other team seemed to get out of rhythm and we had a small spark.
Then he was yanked and Longwood regained their rhythm and confidence. We don't have any tough talented Bigs that can rebound or defend to replace him. So, common sense is to play him more.
Those Jones boys are just taking up space and going through the motions. I wish he would play Jr. more and put him in the game earlier. Harris does play 1 on 5 at times but that is because he feels no one else can shoot and he is about correct.
We gone get our butts kicked all year long unless we get better coaching and better play from our team.

Glad I switched off and to confirm Jones has succeeded in crushing Harry’s confidence. For his sake I hope he sits out the next few games.

Yes Harry is a project but he is a project with an up side that will never get better with Jones yanking him when he makes a good play or shot . Big men need coaching to get to the next level to . To me it's like Jones has forgotten how to coach because Basketball is no different than any other sport you have to fit your system to your talent . A&T has talent Jones just needs to stop trying to put a square peg into a round hole and start coaching those youngmen if we have to play a semi half court offense so be it as long as we win . Even half court systems play transition ball they just have to be coached up . A number of the players are playing like they have lost their confidence and the ones that are confident coach Jones seems hell bent on taking their confidence away . Jones recruited these players at least he can do them a solid and coach them properly.
