If covid is a factor at all we should pull the plug on the season. People have lives to live beyond basketball. From what I know 7 of the team have had covid, which has impacted training. Very pleased that players have to pass lung and heart function tests before being allowed back into the fray, which takes around 1 week minimum. All the positives were before the season started and so far no one else has tested positive. Good news though; a 90 year old lady was the first to be immunised in the UK yesterday. Looking forward to my jag too.

After 7 games, is this team any better today than game 1? No.

Harry needs to play not only is he a top player, best big, he’s a fan favorite on and off campus. Not to mention that he’s an engineering major, he can pass, shoot, block shots and dissect the game. He’s 6’11”!

You may not have to wait to long for the Bottom to fall out NHSS because if Jones doesn't change his coaching schemes and system we maybe at the bottom of the MEAC. I keep telling people that the MEAC is not the lightweight that some seem to think it is . Also Jones like a few on here is living off last years team and focusing on next years so called top 100 recruiting class . When he should be Focusing on this year's team that is not that exciting but talented if Jones takes the time to put the right players in the right system and schemes. What some seem to forget on here is The measure of the good competent coach and staff is when they can take a less talented team and still be a winner. I was all in for Jones being the Aggie B-ball HC because I felt that he could be an effective coach. But he has shown himself to be a coach that just benefited from the talent that was left to him last year . Now he is coaching players that he mostly recruited and he can't seem to get a handle on our to evaluate and place the players in the proper positions to facilitate the winning of games . It's Sad just SAD !! Have you seen the dozen or so computer rankings out here and the conference’s OOC record over the last 10 seasons? Please stop with that. For the second time NSU is 3-1 beat Radford and James Madison... Morgan knocked off Iona by 10 last night FAMU came closing to beating Georgia and FAMU missing two starters and for Big South giggles Hampton beat GW last week. what we saw last night will get you a last place finish in the MEAC or for certain bottom 4. If you are moving to what is said to be a better conference how you gone effectively do that at the bottom of your current conference. My daughter plays college basketball and I have coached at AAU level so I have seen a lot basketball games that last night was complete ..........

I agree, and the big at NCCU is not better than Harry, and Velle plays him 15-20 minutes per game, knowing that this year is a wash, and the has him for 2 more years.

Just watched this game on replay and I see Harry had spells of 4min, 1m and 3min with that last spell being the beginning of the 2nd half and not seen again for the rest of the game. I think you would have to be a real pro to be able to shine in spells like that. I did joke with him that the starting 5 tonight should be Kam, Blake, Kwe, Tyler and Fred as guards seem to be what the coach wants. A starting 5 of less than 28ft!!

I believe you termed it "mosquito squad". But seriously, I think Harry could be a legit double figure scorer if used properly. Last season coach had a bunch of athletic freaks that fit style he wanted to employ. Perfect. This season not as many freak athletes but yet still competent BASKETBALL players. Can't force that same above the rim style of play with this group of players. We will see what kind of coaching chops he has of he can develop a way to maximize the make up of this seasons roster.

He probably don't want a medical emergency on his watch. now on the other hand this idea of not playing to win out of conference games but looking to the MEAC tournament to get to the big dance well good luck with that. With medical information of the Team I would push strongly for cancellation of the season. Covid 19 effects on the long term of these students is just not worth the risks. I had rather cancel the season rather than achieve a Pyrhic victory.

I am not a Harry fan. To me he is like a project in our coaches eyes. However, the coach does yank him too soon and he is the best Big that we have. If our coach would just let him play longer when he is in the game it would make a difference. Tonight the little time he played the other team seemed to get out of rhythm and we had a small spark. Then he was yanked and Longwood regained their rhythm and confidence. We don't have any tough talented Bigs that can rebound or defend to replace him. So, common sense is to play him more. Those Jones boys are just taking up space and going through the motions. I wish he would play Jr. more and put him in the game earlier. Harris does play 1 on 5 at times but that is because he feels no one else can shoot and he is about correct. We gone get our butts kicked all year long unless we get better coaching and better play from our team. Why are you not a Harry fan?

Just saw on twitter than the Aggies have played the most D1 games since the season started and Duke have suspended all non conference games. They are obviously concerned with losing!!

Harry wont be the last player to seek the transfer portal. Earl Hilton needs to step in now and help Jones figure this thing out before he loses half his roster. Players know when a coaching staff is not competent and they will quickly leave. Just look at what happened with Patrick Ewing at Georgetown. Nice guy but couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag. Well if it was me I would get out ASAP. Something is remiss about Aggie Basketball. The glory years Coaches Cal Irwin Don Corbett Warren Reynolds Gene Littles legacies are being disgraced by these current coaches. For one I would never have accepted a former transfer player who bad mouthed his Alma Mater. It appears that we are slipping into the darkness once again. We may have to seek another coaches for Aggie Basketball Men and Women. Have not seen a game this year and in my mind I am finished with the nonsense. Look at the past history of Athletics Administration payouts and one can reach ones' own conclusions.

I agree with your assessment about canceling the season but as far as Harry is concerned Jones did the exact same thing last year . Not even giving Harry minutes even when the games were out of reach. It's a wonder that Harry has become a fan favorite with the limited number of minutes that he has been granted. Also personally I think that Coach is hindering Harry's over all development but I hope that Harry doesn't leave but I wouldn't fault him if he did . Because I think that Harry bleeds Aggie Blue & Gold and loves the school of engineering but that does not mean that the coach is going to show Harry that same love . Coach Jones has to do better.
