His actual scheme is to run out , penetrate, and shoot within the first 12 seconds of the shot clock. He described it in pre-season interviews. Street Ball/AAU circuit BS...I could be a Div1 coach too is seems like And to show he's delusional, at one point last night he had five guards on the floor.

I've never been a part of any organization where the goal is not to win every game. This is not excellence, this statement reminds me of SWAC and MEAC mentality...as long as i beat other black schools im happy. The tallest midget in a world of giants. This is not what Aggies do Don't bring the SWAC into Our debacle . They may have that Mentality when it comes to Football but when it comes to Basketball Baseball and Golf it's a whole different mentality all together.

I would love to run and score 110 points a game.... ....but when you can't do that, you have to have a crisp half-court offense. That was our 7th game, against a winless opponent who had just lost to Greensboro, and only had 3 games under their belt. You cannot look this inept offensively in game 7 against seemingly subpar competition. That performance last night was abhorrent. Such regression (against weak DI competition no less) is very concerning.

Stand around and watch the star dribble and attack 3/4 defenders standing in the pain’t, miss or get the shot blocked. I’ll make a few excuses for now. I don’t think Jones is coaching this way....I hope I’m right. I got to blame it on the players at least for now. Conditioning looks to be lagging even playing 8-9 guys. Kam is the only guy we’ll conditioned. This season is a fog...it’s Covid...it’s all just f’d up! I wish they’d cancel the whole season....or just play a tournament and crown a champion...IMHO.

Man, some of y’all need to really take an objective view of our team and environment we’re in.
After you do that, you’ll then need to relax. Y’all have been doing this every OOC season for years now.
Was the loss disappointing? Yes. Will we get better because of it? Yes.
And like me, y’all aren’t with the team every day and don’t know - by and large - the internal situations going on, We have our starting 2 guard out and a payer that was gone almost a week due to Paternity Leave.
Either way, what matters is how we look and play come January so let’s move on to the next one and hope we aren’t shut down due to Covid before then,

Can't wait to see how relaxed you'll be when we're at the bottom of the Big South next year playing a bullisht brand of basketball. You may not have to wait to long for the Bottom to fall out NHSS because if Jones doesn't change his coaching schemes and system we maybe at the bottom of the MEAC. I keep telling people that the MEAC is not the lightweight that some seem to think it is . Also Jones like a few on here is living off last years team and focusing on next years so called top 100 recruiting class . When he should be Focusing on this year's team that is not that exciting but talented if Jones takes the time to put the right players in the right system and schemes. What some seem to forget on here is The measure of the good competent coach and staff is when they can take a less talented team and still be a winner. I was all in for Jones being the Aggie B-ball HC because I felt that he could be an effective coach. But he has shown himself to be a coach that just benefited from the talent that was left to him last year . Now he is coaching players that he mostly recruited and he can't seem to get a handle on our to evaluate and place the players in the proper positions to facilitate the winning of games . It's Sad just SAD !!

How can you evaluate a player's conditioning when he only is in the game for 2 to 3 minutes if that long . A player scores a basket and then he is pulled from the game , a player that scores 10 points in 11 minutes ( 11 minutes that were played in 2 to 3 minute intervals) because the coach keeps pulling him . Come on AP1990 this is all on Coach Jones and his staff .

Perhaps they are in great condition. I really do not know! What I know is the results of whatever formula is in place is not working. It could be that Covid is playing a much bigger role than an outsider like me knows. Many of us including myself may not know the impact Covid is having in terms of preparation. My preference is not to play. Or play all conference tournaments over Christmas or early January and play a NCAA tourney in a bubble over two weekends in February. It will give fans a Sports fix. I agree with Coach K, this just don’t feel right.

Come on AP1990 this is all on Coach Jones and his staff . Well Harry did have Covid and lost a month of training ahead of the Illinois game. Long term effects on the lungs vary from person to person but he isn't knackered just 100% pissed off. For me he should stay on the bench if Jones isn't going to give him a chance. He has plenty of exams to do for his engineering degree which would be much more constructive. Not sure if I will watch tonight as only managed 11min last night before he was dragged for the second time. Going to bed angry isn't conducive to a good nights sleep.

If covid is a factor at all we should pull the plug on the season. People have lives to live beyond basketball.

LOL! Win the MEAC LOL! Bad execution ain’t gonna win the MEAC. You think these loses are against lock-down defensive pressure. Ever heard the term “self-check”, that’s our offense! We were 4-11 last year in Out of conference last year and we ended up just fine Each year is different, as an example we beat Longwood last year 52-41. Past performance isn't an indicator of future results. Your logic suggest that we should get rid of Coach and elevate an assistant, after all it worked last year, right?(LOL). Though the whispers are getting louder (from the fans), I think coach is the right man for the job, but I'm impatient and don't want to see a step back. I hope you're right, but he is herding cats with this cast of misfit of mostly interchangeable parts. One of two things are true and neither is good; 1) either the players are doing what he's telling them or, 2) they are not listening to a thing he says. Again, I hope you're right but I bet the stats show a disturbing trend in FG%, TO/Assist ratio, rebounding. After 7 games, is this team any better today than game 1?

no one seems to have noticed but a&t's best "natural 2 guard" and best "one-on-one" player didn't play against longwood. not that that's an excuse, but for some reason "tyler maye" did not play against longwood and he's clearly "the best" go to player on the team.
also, i will "join the choir" calling for harry morrice to get "a lot" more minutes! from what i've seen, he's currently the best "big" on the team. he's better than both of the jones guys, he appears to have "improved" significantly since last season, he runs the floor extremely well for his size, and he can score "inside and out".
yes, he still needs to get "stronger", rebound better, and learn "not to foul". but his improvement compared to last season is very noticeable. he needs to stay on the floor a lot longer, he is progressing in the right direction just as a "young" player should and he still has a lot more upside...

Last year’s team was definitely more talented. It’s also possible that they had a positive reaction when Joyner was replaced. A new coach bounce. But, it looks bleak right now. I feel worse about last night’s loss than I do the 60 point loss to Illinois or blowing the big lead against Citadel. I don’t believe either one of theirs teams were quality teams.
