Lack of a player who can just get a basket and teams are getting waaay to many opens 3’s against us when we are running half court defense is a glaring problem. Harry should touch the ball every position as he appears strong enough this year to make a move or effectively send the ball back out to shooters Had a good 20min call with him before the game and he is very relaxed this year. Just needs to see the ball more as he is as likely to hit the open man as take a shot. This team will gel and for the 2 weeks ahead of this mini tournament, 11 of the players were isolating and only 2 out of 4 were training at a time. Not exactly a pre-season so games will have to substitute for scrimmages. Enjoy your turkey guys. I am just blowing the froth off a cold one. Thank you for the context.

He's catching the ball better, his confidence is good. I almost fell on the floor on that put back and the two-handed block. He also looks a little more physically stout also. I look forward to his season as coach realizes what talent he has (I hope) and makes adjustments, not force his system the same way his predecessor tried to do with his.

Lockdown bench press in the back garden. Upper body looks very strong. Gyms have been closed in scotland since march so he had to improvise.

Harry can be that in-side out player if used properly. Also if your running a 3 guard system, you need a Big Guard with a defense and rebound mentality . He as to be a Physical Banger. Also this team has to find it's role players the players that are willing to do the Dirty Work .

The guy that has to step up as an offensive weapon is Tyrone Lyons. He did a bit more today. But he & Jeremy Robinson will have to be guys that can heat up at the 3/4 spots for us to be dynamic offensively.

If Harry continues to play with the confidence he displayed today, there’s no way Coach Jones can condone the guards not giving him a touch on every offensive series. The MEAC ain’t gonna have many Harry’s. His confidence oozed through the TV screen today...and I loved every second of it.

Yep and Harry will make the right decision if he can get off a baby hook in the lane that’s a high percentage shot but he is a true team player he will dump the ball off in the lane to the cutter or send it back out for one of the guards to pull a 3.
We also really missing Parker he shoots 3 well and he can elevate in traffic and go up and get a lob pass. Plus his defense is outstanding (he is great at rotating to a 3 point shooter and closing out / challenging the shot)

If used properly after passing out Harry can rotate to the wing and pop the 3 . Harry is not flashy but he is a versatile big man that can shoot the three if used properly his talents just add another weapon to the mix.

The team is figuring each other out. A missed pass here, a dribble too deep into trouble and throwing the ball away possession or a quick shot, with no one to rebound, or at the wrong time proved to do us in.
They will get better.
They must keep hustling on defense to contest the 3.
At this point, I don’t mind us figuring out who fits and when. I want to see us execute different defenses. Grow our inside game. Grow a high post attack. Emphasize our guards using their floaters.
Our free throws were better. We didn’t get the calls yesterday.
Lastly we should be shooting better when getting open looks, this must and will improve.

The most alarming thing over these first two games is our inability to play above the rim.
Maybe some of that will return when Parker comes back.

Team lacks chemistry. Looked unorganized at times. Rebound efforts were lackadaisical and 50/50 efforts were fair.
However, I do believe we will be better in the future.

These early games remind me of our game last year against UNC-G. We start from scratch and get better. Money games are money games for a reason.

They looked much better yesterday, especially in the first half. I will say our perimeter defense needs to improve but that’s something that will as the chemistry improves. Today will be good for us.
