I believe in listening to the experts as well but, when experts become contaminated by the use bribes and money, they become hard to trust. So, from my perspective, the expert that I trust is the one who has maintain his stance from day 1. Then when "45" realized what Fauci's opinion was gonna do to his economy, he tried to discredit him by bringing in other "Experts" to refute him. You don't know the motive of these other "Experts" could be money, could be anything. Now, I do agree with you, Thrilla...we do have to live and survive in these unchartered waters but, I wouldn't suggest putting one's self in harms way. Now, we wear mask from protection from coughing, sneezing and mere conversation. You would send your child on the football field where players literally knock the snot out of each other while playing. The unknown is just to great especially if they are saying the virus can be airborne. We've already established that Dr. Fauci has supported playing fall sports under the proper safety protocols. Those safety protocols were created by himself and other medical experts. Why do you continually try to ignore the fact that Dr. Fauci threw out the first pitch for the start of this Major League Baseball season? Dr. Fauci is all about creating solutions for how we can operate in this pandemic. He is not an advocate for shutting everything down until it goes away. He knows that is not feasible.

Why Dr. Anthony Fauci says Marlins outbreak isn't enough to shut down MLB season — yet
WRITTEN BY JORDAN HECK @jordanheckff 07/28/2020After the Marlins' coronavirus outbreak among the team's players and staff, many have wondered whether Major League Baseball will end up canceling the 2020 season. Dr. Anthony Fauci says we're not quite to that point, but warns the outbreak could put the season in "danger." Speaking to "Good Morning America" on Tuesday morning, Fauci explained why MLB shouldn't end the season right away. Fauci is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Fauci was asked directly whether the season could continue and responded, "I don't know, I hope so." He went on to explain the situation in more detail.
"This could put it in danger," Fauci said. "I don't believe they need to stop, but we just need to follow this and see what happens with other teams on a day-by-day basis."Fauci added that the league has put a lot of work into making sure this season goes smoothly. They successfully completed a truncated regular season under the COVID safety protocols. Thank God folks listened to Dr. Fauci (and me) and didn't prematurely pull the plug on this season after the Marlins outbreak.

Fauci has always supported a cautious and prudent re-open and sports. While I get that's what people, teams and schools are saying they are doing, what's with the outbreaks...see Tennessee Titans, Cam Newton and "45". They are supposed to have the most prudent and cautious testing there is but, look. Should we ignore that point?

If you dont follow the protocols there is a chance you will have outbreaks. Testing just determines if you followed the protocols correctly or not.
The Marlins did not initially take the protocols seriously. They had an outbreak. The Marlins (and the rest of the league) then began to follow the protocols ... and now they have advanced to the second round of the MLB playoffs.
See how that works?

If you dont follow the protocols there is a chance you will have outbreaks. Testing just determines if you followed the protocols correctly or not. That's the long and short of it. It applies to everything we do as we go about our normal business each and every day.

Yeah, I better not hear anybody from the Legion of Gloom say another word about safety or COVID or heart issues this fall if yall are cool with us playing next spring. To your point (again), FCS Sacramento State has said 'no' to potentially playing 20+ games in 2021. FCS: Sacramento State Opts Out Of 2021 Spring Football Season“After thoughtful deliberation we have determined that it is in the best interest of both our student-athletes and our football program to opt out of a possible spring football season,” Sacramento State head coach Troy Taylor said. “Our concern regarding the effects of a short turnaround and recovery time from a spring season to a fall season, in our opinion, were too big of a health risk. Obviously, we are disappointed in not having a football season this year. But we are already striving and preparing for the 2021 fall season.” “I agree with Coach (Taylor),” Sacramento State President Dr. Robert S. Nelsen said. “It is disappointing. COVID-19 has brought many disappointments, and we are sad. But postponing our fall season due to COVID, and opting out of spring due to the truncated season and the risks it could cause to our players’ wellbeing, are not the biggest disappointments brought on by the pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died from this disease. We want to play football, but we want – we need – to keep the Hornet family safe.”For the rest of the story: herosports.com/fcs-football-sacramento-state-opts-out-spring-bzbz/

Following proper protocols one thing If it can be done but there are to many variables to be considered my question is can A&T afford to test all of its Football players at an minimum of 3 to 4 times a week not this one's a month Bollocks and where is that money coming from to purchase and pay for the testing ? Your comparing FCS HBCU institutions and there programs with FBS and a few FCS programs with Big $$ donors that can afford to test that way . The problem is not what happens on campus as much as it is what happens when these youngmen and women return to there communities and homes . Football is not that important in my opinion!

Three to four times a week? That is not practical. Especially with all these false positive tests that have been coming up lately. (See Nick Saban)
Once a week is about the best you can hop for at the FCS level. That should be sufficient.
