given that most fcs conferences are playing a spring 2021 football season, it might be a good idea for the fcs to start the fall 2021 season at least a month later than usual to give guys time to physically recover from a spring football season. and even that might not be enough time for most "serious" injuries to heal... OSA, I was thinking the same thing.

Not sure I agree with that because Chancellor Martin is still the face of our university. He is the one that would have been blamed if something went wrong and he is the one who got cold feet. Earl has always played the background and he wanted us to play this fall. From my understanding he still doesn't want us to play in the spring. Earl is a pragmatist like me. He can scan the terrain, put his emotions aside and make the most out of a bad situation. Martin is an engineer by trade but has become more of a politician over time. The fear of bad press is what caused Martin to blink. Didn't really have much to do with internal racism. I think you may be projecting some of your own sentiments here. Not internal racism...external! When the move to BS was announced many people on Onnidan, Meacfans, MEAC and SWAC facebook groups blamed Earl and comments were made about his skin color. Saying Earl pushed the BS agenda and it was due to his skin color. If A&T had have played football he would have shouldered the blame for that too. I can pull up the old post from those sites if you need proof. No, I agree with you that there are/were idiots out there who made comments about Earl's hidden motivations ... I just dont think that vocal minority had any influence on Martin's ultimate decision to pull the plug of fall football. Earl works for Martin. Not the other way around. I believe Ed Hardin and the local media had more influence on Martin's decision than the peanut gallery on meacfanszone and onnidan did. When the Miami Marlins announced their COVID outbreak and Hardin wrote his infamous "We are better than this" column, that is what pushed Martin from a "yea" to a "nay".

Yes but Martin should have had the welfare of the students at heart from the beginning for that "nay" not the negative comments from that article . Because he had the facts right in front of him . A true leader doesn't have to play follow the leader or be influenced by outside interest . It is what it is SMIB

Who is the kicker with the long hair? We have three kickers on the roster now... Do we have another punter besides Rivers too?

Kadans, Elliot NC Kadans competed at a high level at the 2019 Southern Showcase. He excelled on his field goals and kickoffs but also showed the talent to punt at the collegiate level. He needs to work on speeding up his operation to maximize his potential but he has the leg speed. His big ball on kickoff was 70 yards with 3.54 seconds of hang time and he was also able to score 8 points in the charting. He has excellent leg speed and the ball jumps off his foot well. kohlskicking.com/national-player-ratings/kickers/2020

It’s amazing that A&T has a kicking coach...are we the only MEAC school with one?

I think having a kicking coach goes to #3 of Broadway's philosophy of how to win ball games in the MEAC:
1. Run the ball 2. Stop the run 3. Win the kicking game
In other words, "We Do Chicken."

When did we get a kicking coach? Washington was working with Ruiz during the offseason, last year.

Remember the punter who kept App State backed up when we beat them and injured his leg later that season-- Dominic Frescura

We've always had a coach for kickers.
