If these kids catch covid it won’t be because of their on field activities, if you catch my drift...

West Coast, please pick a side and stay on it.
I've have been talking about the need to take calculated risks since this pandemic began.
Now that you guys are understanding the financial ramifications of not playing in the Fall, those risks dont seem so bad all of the sudden.
Nobody ever wanted to look at the big picture.

I've never changed my opinion on things. I would much rather see no one play. However, I'm seeing that there are almost an equal amount of risks from not playing as there are from playing. The last thing I want to see is the university suffer major harm. So, I'm REALLY interested in hearing what's really going on.

We all know the risks. They are important, but no need to continue to mention them.
But how about the reward of being the only D-I HBCU playing football (other than Tenn State) in the entire country for 8-10 weeks. What does ESPN do with that? What do the national and local news outlets, particularly in the South and East do with that? What do HBCU fans do with that? What does our A&T marketing department do with that?
Nothing, if we lose. A lot when we win. If the 2015 CB was the first year of wide exposure through ABC. This could be the next slingshot year for A&T athletics and the university.
On the football side, the players and the coaches will get better a year earlier. Eighteen seniors will get to play their final season. We get to do it all in a tight geography. As a bonus: Volleyball and Cross Country may be able to compete also.

You'd be surprised at how often there is a pandemics clause in contracts and how it does not necessarily give you relief. If we signed a contract for travel arrangements and lodging we potentially lose money there as well. Being that this or these are some unusual times with a horrific Plandamit; in terms of justice due to the cancellations none should be liable due to matters beyond control. We need to remain awake being attentive to all ulterior motives. We are still bound to the MEAC, the chatter was detrimental to us as a family raising false hopes. At best maybe there should be an additional year of eligibility for all students athletes in America in terms of true justice. This virus wreaking havoc upon us so much so that we have forgotten that an enemy has committed a crime against humanity yet pulling the covers off of us so that we are wallowing in our despair.

There will be and additional year of eligibility given by the NCAA ; the problem will be procuring the funds needed to fund the additional scholarship .

Not just that. You also will have an issue with roster size limits.
How do you keep the seniors for an extra year and still have room from the incoming freshman and transfers?
