Big South Conference, which includes High Point University, to begin fall sports on September 3 SPORTS by: FOX8 Digital Desk Posted: Jul 22, 2020 / 03:10 PM EDT / Updated: Jul 22, 2020 / 03:10 PM EDT CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Big South Conference, which includes High Point University, announced on Wednesday that fall sports will begin on Sept. 3. The conference put out the following information in a news release: With a priority for the health and safety of student-athletes and others due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Big South Conference announced today that it will begin fall sport competition on Thursday, Sept. 3. The decision was made by the league’s Executive Committee in consultation with the Big South Council of Athletics Directors, Chief Executive Officers and medical professionals, and provides each member institution the opportunity to further focus on return to competition protocols and necessary resources to facilitate the resocialization process, while maintaining competitive opportunities for its student-athletes this fall. myfox8.com/sports/big-south-conference-which-includes-high-point-university-to-begin-fall-sports-on-september-3/

Obviously the Big South hates its student athletes and is willing to put money over protecting human lives.
I am so glad we are not in that conference.

I think the MEAC should have delayed til October you may have to cancel at that time but as I said earlier the COVID saliva test may be a game changer as its quick and less cost. Its July and things are very fluid things may or may not change for the better or the worse by Oct

Its July and things are very fluid things may or may not change for the better or the worse by Oct Forget what the MEAC should have done. What should AGGIES DO now?

Don't worry. We'll probably see all of our seniors playing at other schools this Fall. And we might have to lay off a third of our athletic department.
But at least we can say we care more about our kids than the Big South does.

Play the seven games in the Spring with fans in the stands. Win the MEAC and play in the Celebration Bowl.
