Wssu is off the table. Hilton said it ain't gonna happen. Great should be. If we trying to make playoffs , a D2 win does nothing for us Kennesaw State played a NAIA team last year and a div in 2018 and had a NAIA team scheduled this year. We are not in the MEAC anymore we can play lesser opponents and still make the playoffs.

This has been pointed out on this board before but I will say it again...Alcorn OWES us a home game. Now I don't know how those agreements work or if there is anything legally binding in them, but we had a home and home against them either in the late 90s or early 2000s and they never returned the trip. Would love to beat them (again) in Greensboro.
Just looked it up...it was 2004 in Lorman. We lost 13-16.

What may work for Kennesaw playing NAIA teams and making the playoffs more so then not will not work for A&T or HIU . Playing a D-2 is bad enough but playing an NAIA program is out of the question.

That may work for D-2 but never for NAIA We are not in the MEAC anymore we can play lesser opponents and still make the playoffs. In the rest of the HBCU landscape outside of HBCU football, they have a select few teams that will always be top 10/15 no matter who they play as long as they get no more than like 3 losses. The FCS polling system is more biased than the CFB playoffs. KSU has a trash schedule every year and gets a high bid every year. We will have the COMPLETE opposite experience no matter what conference we’re in. We will never be able to afford to play a NAIA & D2 school in the same season, have 2 season losses, and STILL have a top 15 ranking because of it being an hbcu and they’re terribly biased.

I respectfully disagree for the most part. Playing a MEAC schedule unfortunately leads to a lower ranking because we're playing a majority of teams that can barely win out-of-conference games. Then we've found a way to lose to one of the worst teams in the conference two years running...
Meanwhile KSU plays in a higher (barely, but higher) rated conference, destroys out-of-conference competition, and wins playoff games.
Now the rub comes in when they hold out an 8-3 SC Steat team that beat the Southern Conference champion like a drum and lost close games to ranked MEAC teams. That shows bias.
I guarantee if we manage to go 9-2 in the big south including a win over a d-2, we'll get a home playoff game if we bid for it.

Chancellor Renick sent a busload of livewires, cheerleaders and SGA to represent...Im fine with them never returning the game they owe, because the curse is real and they have never beaten us since.

What hbcu outside of nccu would outdraw Elon? Winston-Salem State , Like I indicated earlier they're not even in the discussion. No plans on scheduling them anytime soon.
