Man, this family is going to leave its mark at A&T.
Jonah Ross Ross' addition makes her the third Ross in the N.C. A&T program. Ross' father is the Aggies director of track and field programs and one of the best collegiate coaches in the country. Her brother was a freshman last season for the men's program and had the fastest indoor 400-meter in the world last season.
Jonah Ross has some impressive accolades of her own. She is a five-time North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) champion with wins in the 55m and 100m in 2018 and wins in the 55m, 100m and 200m in 2019. As a junior, she ranked in the top-25 in the nation in four different events (55m, 60m, 200m and 300m).
Ranked fifth in the nation in the 300m as a junior and sixth as a senior. She was a bronze medalist at the 2019 New Balance Indoor High School National Championships by running a personal-record 23.79 in the 200m. At the New Balance Outdoor Nationals at N.C. A&T's Irwin Belk Track in 2018, she was the "Emerging Elite" 100 and 200m champion. She was also the 100m runner-up at the USATF Outdoor Championships in the 15-16-year old division.
