Any plans yet about having closed scrimmages or a Spring Game closed to the Public? Why?

Any plans yet about having closed scrimmages or a Spring Game closed to the Public? Why? These are smaller steps that could help. I would urge that the Spring Game be closed to the general public, too. Simply live stream it for free.
We'd better quit listening to this fool that we have in the White House. This is already very serious.
Look, if we don't curtail this virus in the next 90 days or so, we might be looking at a situation where there will be no 2020-21 athletic season. Don't think that it can't be shut down.

Personally, I'd much rather overreact and be wrong than to ignore it and be dead wrong.

I'm gonna ask the AAF folks about live streaming it if they decide to close it to the public. As a matter of fact, I think they should do it anyway. That way, folks that can't or won't come to see it in person can see it.

That’s absolutely crazy to make a call like that. Wow! I’m al for taking precautions but we scare way too easily.

Personally, I'd much rather overreact and be wrong than to ignore it and be dead wrong.i didn't have plans to attend the spring game with or without the coronavirus factor, but since the game will be played outdoors in a spacious stadium where fans do not necessarily have to sit right on top of each other like at ghoe, it seems to me that under that scenario it should be fairly safe for the fans. albeit if they take all of the precautions necessary. if our men beat howard tonight at the tournament, i plan to drive down to norfolk for friday night's games. now of course the scope is a closed in environment unlike aggie stadium, so the risk will be higher there. but i honestly believe that if you take all of the precautions, then the risk would be low. as of today, there has been no reports of anyone in norfolk having the coronavirus even though there's probably a lot more folk who have it than what's been reported. but heck, i'm in a building full of federal employees during weekdays and if its safe there, i don't see why it wouldn't be safe at the scope. but hey, that's just my take...

Doesn't seem like an appropriate reaction based on the current information.

Doesn't seem like an appropriate reaction based on the current information. Makes sense. I don't see other UNC schools following suit, yet at least.

I agree with above however since World Health Orgainization just declared a panademic we could see more moves to limit interactions . I would think outdoors would minimize possible spread
My dad in his 80’s questioned if he should go to MEAC tourney although in good health.

Honestly, anyone in their 60's and older should just keep their contact with large crowds to a min, honestly. It sucks because many people that attend the tourney are older.

I also received word that we're working on moving classes online while keeping the dorms open.
