26 point loss to Western Carolina? Ooookay.
Again, we are chock full of not-rated & 1-star players. We recruit a slew of 5'10-6'2 players, & got excited over a 6-11 British kid from WV nobody heard of who has played what, 6 minutes in 3 games?
SMH...

Utah State may beat us by 70 points on Friday......y'all thought that Utah beating MVSU 143-49 a few days ago was bad, what do you think #17 Utah State is gonna do to us? It's gonna look like a Globetrotters vs Generals game Friday night.
If I gave you 50 points vs Utah State Friday night, would you take it in a bet (FYI: Utah St has already beaten Weber State 89-34 and Denver 97-56)?

Then I remembered he said he didn't want to put any pressure on them during this road trip. See, that's the kind of stuff that will get me to cussin at this computer screen. Like, I'm legit about to throw something right now. When I heard him say it, I said, "WTF?" And yes,he was not concerned with outcomes. Go ahead, cuss. I dare you. LOL!

The funny part about that is the good teams are playing to win.I was looking at Georgia WBB who we play tomorrow night. Their top three players played 35+ minutes in their first game against Kennesaw State. Their PG played 39 minutes and scored 28 points. Good teams know who to play and start the season with 8-man rotation at most. I hope Robinson plays to win tomorrow.

Does Coach Joyner value the ability to shoot the ball? I only ask because we seem to recruit players who are good at some things, but shooting the ball aint one of them. Our FG%, FT% and 3PT% are god awful. Some of that could be down to the other teams’ defenses, but we miss so many wide open shots and free throws.

Just because we supposedly spend more money on our basketball program than WCU don't mean Jack.
It is how it is used and who you use it on. I feel that just as we did in football our Administrative leaders should hire a big time quality coach who can truly coach and recruit. They should break down and pay him just as they did Broadway to turn this mess around.
For some reason Coach Joyner has a million dollar plus budget but has division II players. I can't understand that.
Bornthrilla for some reason you always think you are right and veryone else is wrong. What's wrong with that picture?

His lack of coaching ability has nothing to do with pay or recruiting. He is allocated his full amount of scholarships...your boy just isnt a good coach. A&T is letting Joyner cut his teeth as a head coach it seems, giving him a shot as a head coach before getting paid the big bucks. We as fans need to have patience and see that admnistration has made a conscious effort to let these long time assistants cut their teeth as head coaches.

The most money don't mean everything. I have witnessed and have read about people making the minimum wage all of their life and retire millionaires
I have witnessed people making 6 figures in their jobs and are living pay check to pay check.
So, just because our budget is supposedly higher than WCU, NCC and others - don't mean jack unless the money is used correctly.

If both our basketball coaches use the pre-conference season to experiment with lineups and don't seem concerned with wins, that means the administration has okayed it and/or they get bonuses based on in-conference pay as opposed to out-of-conference play.
The same thing happens every year in both programs. It should not be a surprise.

2039 what I am trying to convey is that we need a total commitment from the Chancellor, AD, Board of Directors and or whoever to get our basketball program back to perennial winners.
They can do that if they want to.
We were perennial losers after Coach Hayes left and Coach Broadway returned us to glory with a commitment from the Chancellor and others.
We ain't gone win jack with our present budget, players, coaches and poor commitment from the administration.
Coach K could not win with our budget and true backing from the Chancellor.
