The way I see it if we don't play down to the competition and stay healthy we should be ok for the remainder of the schedule. Oh yeah, gotta eliminate the dumb penalties.

True, but there will be at least two teams that will elevate their games when they play us, and we ain't gonna get three gifts from every QB. To me, from here on out it's about the pass defense.

....pass defense ....offensive line play ....minimize penalties ....keep turnovers to a minimum
If we do these things, we'll be fine. I'm not really too nervous about things. We just need to maintain a consistent level of focus. That's the word of the year with this team - FOCUS.

we're gonna get "best shots" from famu (on the road), scsu (on the road), bcu, and nccu. i'm happy about where we are right now, but by no means am i ready to put this bad boy in "cruise control". shiggidy can still happen...

This is the kind of topic I'd like to see started right before the last game we'll play this season. But that's just me.

If you think you can cruise through the rest of your schedule with ease with FAMU, SCSU and BCU lurking...you might be setting yourself up for a let down.
Everybody is coming to play...not because you’re A&T...but because we want to win just as bad as you do.
FAMU, A&T, BCU and SCSU are all currently 1-loss teams whose only losses came to FBS teams and everybody is gonna come with it when we meet each other.

If FAMU beats SCSU and the BGMM attending the game in Tallyho, the atmosphere should be pretty good. If it were not the week before GHOE, I would definitely go.

should be a great atmosphere in tally regardless to whether famu beats the bulldawgs or not. but i really screwd up before our meac schedule was available and bought some "early" advanced tickets to see the isley brothers and war at the mgm casino theatre here in the dmv on saturday, oct. 19th. plus, ain't no way in hail i'm gone miss ghoe which is the following week. so i'd like to, however i won't make the trip to tally but definitely will be watching on espn3...

We already know that the entire conference will have their 'A' game when they play us. I don't believe anyone thinks we're cruising - especially after us being 6 points & 6 seconds away from having a 2nd undefeated season last year. Regarding FAMU, I see them as learning how to win at the end versus letting up at the end like they did last season. Simmons seems to have them bought in to the fact that they can win out in the conference. And they can. FAMU is going to be a problem for us in Tally. But, we are going to be a problem for them also. The Rattlers will be at home but we have two weeks to prepare. It will be a good one...

The way I see it if we don't play down to the competition and stay healthy we should be ok for the remainder of the schedule. Oh yeah, got to eliminate the dumb penalties.I do not believe in playing down to an Opponents level But I do believe in a team not playing up and staying up to there full Potential in games 8-)No one makes you drop passes, run the wrong route , throw IN and INT's , miss Tackles & Blocks or run into the wrong hole . That is not playing down that's just PLAYING DUMB and has nothing to do with what your Opponent is doing are trying to do . In all my years of coaching I have never seen a Good Football team play down to an Opponents level ; but I have see teams play dumb Uninspired , mistake-prone, undisciplined Football ; that is not the other teams doing it's yours
