Keeping it real... Ramadan likely won't beat out Dominic Graves from Eastern Guilford. Poor dude probably has flashbacks every he sees the number 45

now that would be funny as hail!! i would never let them live that down if it could happen!! but of course, they don't play wssu until next year. but heck, i remember when bill hayes got let go from a&t, and some of his players transferred to central and friggin' played "AGAINST US"!! man, that pissed me off!! and some of them may have still been on central's team when the buzzards beat us by "1 point" during small's last season as our head coach in '05...

Yep... Shoffner went JUCO. Zanders is still on the NCCU roster behind Caldwell.

Yep... Shoffner went JUCO.. wow, what a waste. dude had serious "potential". he would've been better off had he came to a&t. doesn't appear that he got very good coaching at central...

I'm not sure what WSSU has in its stable of QBs, but I was always more comfortable with us beating NCCU with Ramadan at QB.

I think the opposite. Athletic QBs have always traditionally done well against us because we press cover. Our secondary has their backs turned so if he slips the spy then he is running for a while. Bell always beat us with his legs. The few games we have loss the last 4-5 years have been to QBs with legs. Pocket passers don't scare me because WHERE DEY AT THOUGH?. The MEAC rarely has pure pocket passers that are great, like Raynard. Malcom Bell's types that can do both are also rare in the MEAC. I'm not buying Newton until Howard gets a defense. But back to the thread's topic. Ramadan may win the job due to experience alone, but talent wise he aint all that.

yeah but the two years we played against caldwell, he didn't hurt us and i'd argue that he didn't hurt us because he wasn't much of a "passing threat". the thing to do against caldwell is "dare" him to pass but deny him the ability to run. force him to become a pocket passer which is his "weakness".
i agree that bell hurt us because he could do both. but if bell could only pass as well as caldwell, he would've been much easier to defend. instead, we had to play bell "honest" because he could do both and that's what gave us "fits"...

And I've seen NCCU live vs other opponents a couple times with Cauldwell at QB. He aint THAT damn bad. He just bad vs us. But this thread is in relation to Ramadan. That dude is not good at neither running nor passing! That was my point. Not that I was scared or thought Cauldwell was a true threat to beat us. Ramadan is a graduate transfer who's only advantage over the other WSSU QB's is probably that he has seen way better defenses than WSSU will face..

Sometimes QBs dont live up to there high school hype. Happens all the time at all positions.
