I understand that this is just now breaking,a very serious situation and all the info is not available but I find it confusing. She stated that she reach out to two coaches a couple months after she was attacked and they fail to report it to Title IX.What is Title IX? Are they a governing body or a police investigating body? If someone is criminally assault off campus why would you not call he police immediately and report it rather than relying on someone else to report to the authority.

Let “due process” play out first. I'm sorry but this should never be an issue. I don't know or even care if there was an assault but if someone "said" it happened, then it needs to be reported LOUDLY! Sexual assaults (real or imagined) are like an atomic bomb... everything at ground zero is destroyed and the fallout contaminates everything near it. I'm sure the University is on top of this issue (God I hope so) but this should never ever happen. This is the second time our great nationally know University has gotten a black eye for an alleged sexual assault! Fix this siht now! ... Except if you are the President of these United States.

Not victim blaming or anything..But if you read her Twitter, it seems like her focus is more so on getting the coaches fired rather than getting justice for herself? Same with the cheerleader situation...

Based on this screen shot from the WFMY news report, it seems the Title IX's office already determined that the coaches did not report this in the appropriate manner.

To me it's very simple and clear cut , if a student reports a sexual assault to an employee of the university ,it is the duty of that employee to report said incident to the AD or Title IX representative within 24 hours . It doesn't matter if said incident happened 2 days ago,2 weeks ago,2 months ago ,or 2 years ago .It also doesn't matter if the person doesn't believe the allegation or not ,report it . A lot has been said by some posters about how long it took for her to report the allegation ,and or the manner in which she reported it ,or if they believe her story ,it doesn't matter ,report the claim to the proper authority and all is well .

I agree, oldschool, it is my understanding that it's the JOB of the coach(es) to report such incidents to the proper authorities (e.g. AD & Title IX). Failure to do that is a failure of at least a portion of his/her job responsibilities and in my opinion it's a major failure. Why should the student have to go directly to Title IX?
On another point, I hope the perpetrator of this crime is caught and punished.

I hope the perpetrator of this crime is caught and punished " Do they have the name of said perpetrator , was he a A&T student or a Greensboro resident or both , did this happen at a resident or Club/Clubhouse at and apartment complex . It is evident that the two coaches dropped the ball on this by not reporting the incident in a timely manner whether they happened to believe her story or not ; but the reaction from two of her teammates makes me want to say Hum ? But time will tell all hopefully !

Maybe it was a teammate!

Is it illegal for coaches to call players fat, lazy or dumb? She seems to care more about that than the assault! In my opinion one has nothing to do with each other, these kids have coddled too much

The article says " He came in, forced me, tried to fight me, had his pants down and everything, good thing I could defend myself," Batie stated. If that's one of her teammates, we got even more serious problems Jokes aside, it was probably somebody off of the men's team. Judging from the quotes in the article about the texts she got from staff, the head coach didn't know. Is it illegal for coaches to call players fat, lazy or dumb? It has piecemeal quotes and possible missing possessives so I can't tell whether they're talking about Robinson or assistants or what. Kind of piss-poor sensationalist journalism in my opinion. It honestly doesn't seem like they care much about her, they just care about getting out a story that slights Ayantee. They're using her and it's making her look bad in the process.

Hey teammate, Juwanna Mann?Ok, jokes aside for real this time. That's one part of the story. What if she invited him over for drinks and had every intention of getting down and changed her mind when the pants went down? Her teammate already said her story changes continuously. That says something.

No argument there. I just have to wonder what she reported to the coaches. It's almost certain what she told the coaches, what she told Title IX folks, and what she told the news are three different stories.
