That's sad A&T should be there . How can you hope to develop and NFL caliber QB , when you are not willing to develop your coaches ?

Interesting to see Grambling, Alcorn and Central with dedicated quarterback coaches...they get it. Wish we had a dedicated quarterbacks coach again...Broadway hired a dedicated QB coach for a reason. QB is the most importance position on offense and we dont have a dedicated coach for it.

Point of clarification needed here - This is a more or less a networking seminar for coaches looking to improve their lot for future career connections, not a "coaching" clinic.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Coach Barnette's name on this list. But I can understand maybe why he's not. Barnette is a good bit younger than all of the coaches on that list except for DJ Williams (hooked up by Pops with an assistant's position with the Saints). And he just finished his first year as OC for us. Between being a new father and maybe not wanting to look like he's looking for his next best gig... I could see why Coach Barnette may have passed on this one this year. No worries from me.

But I still wouldn’t mind seeing us have a presence there at-the-table. I learned years ago from Coach Hayes and Coach Willie Jeffries that most of the MEAC head football coaches used to rent a house a get together in the offseason to share information and to bond as a group. The old school coaches (Eddie, Jake, Cleve Abbott, Ace Mumford, Billy Nicks, etc.) used to do that almost every offseason. We don’t seem to do that anymore, but NETWORKING ain’t a bad thing, IMHO.

We are blessed with three draftees, but I hope that our Coaches take the critiques and analysis from predraft scouts, and Coaches of our kids and use them to better prepare our new kids for their futures, IMHO those are notes on how to raise the level of skill and play from our signees and current players.
