All the players on the team were timed in the 40 yesterday, including the seniors who were out there auditioning for the pro scouts. Several NFl scouts, including representatives from the Rams, Panthers and Redskins were on hand to observe Juice Conston, Kerry Perry, Hollingsworth, Jay Mac and a couple of others. Former A&T star corner back and current NY Giant, Curtis Deloatch, even made a guest appearance to hang out with the fellas.
The fastest time of the day was ran by Tim Walls, the former A&T track star who played briefly on the football team in 2001. He was clocked at 4.2 which is comparable to the time Hampton's Jerome Mathis ran at the combine a few weeks ago. I guess he is looking to launch a career in football again.
Jason McCoy had the next fastest time at 4.38. He just might have earned himself a late round draft selection with that mark.
Hollingsworth ran a somewhat dissapointing 4.6 while Kenny Perry posted a time of 4.53.
The man that everyone was really there to see, Junius Conston, was clocked at 5.0 which I guess is pretty good for a O-line prospect.
That was just the 40 times of the NFL prospects. I will try to get may hands on the times of the rest of the players later this week.

THE REST OF THE PLAYERS DID NOT RUN IN THE 40, THEY WERE TOLD IT WAS TOO LATE AND WILL RUN AFTER SPRING BALL.

Actually, some of the current receivers on the team including Doug Brown, Trusty and Bud Phillps ran eariler that day before the seniors went out there. I was told that most of them ran in the 4.5-4.6 range.
I'll be sure to check back after spring camp to get the rest of the times.

I hear that McCoy ran in front of the scouts again in Chapel Hill last week and posted another 4.3. They say the NFL scouts are now taking notice.

But the geniuses on the coaching staff start Hollingsworth's slow a$$ ahead of Speight.
I don't get it.

Senior leadership, blocking ability, knowledge of the (meager) playbook.
Actually, the show looked like superman in the spring game. If you went off his past you'd think he was at least as good as Speight. If you went off the season you'd think that Speight was the only one who should've been allowed to take a handoff on the roster.

The Show is faster than 4.8. Remember that 50 yard TD run he had against Hampton in the 2003 MEAC Championship game?
I guess he is not fully recovered from that ankle injury he suffered against Elon. Remember he missed a couple of games last season himself.

Hell, he had two 50 plus yard touchdowns off of screen passes this past year.
A combination of injury and weight gain (and maybe nerves) made him pretty slow.
