yeah, i agree with durham. no reason bryant can't finish out the semester if he chooses to and still transfer. matter fact, the article says he plans on doing exactly that. heck, this dude is already a grad student. so i don't understand why dabo "demoted" him in the first place unless the "true freshman" had been "head and shoulders" better, which the stats do not prove that to be true.
imo, no reason bryant should've been demoted, especially not to a "true freshman" who has 4 years of eligibility remaining. bryant was probably trying to position himself for the nfl after this season, hard to do that when you're sitting the bench. so i don't blame him, i'd transfer too if it were me...

I wouldn’t transfer in the middle of a semester, period. Not if I was a serious student. I know, I know, they trying to be pro athletes but still. In Bryant’s case they been waiting for sunshine to take his spot since he showed up on campus last year. Shouldn’t have been a surprise. They aren’t leaving the school officially until the end of the semester. However, they aren’t walking on that field in those school colors this season. That way, they can get that 5th year of eligibility, thanks to that new rule. This rule will benefit us this winter. We’re gonna bag some “disgruntled” 4-star QB trying to play one more season at least.

That Trevor Lawrence kid is hugely better than Bryant. I’d also be outro too.

If they're truly Student-athletes, then they ought to be able to transfer as any other student. Non-compete clauses are for employees, not students.

Look it is easy to come in after a Defense is tired and have big numbers as Lawrence has done . But being a starter against a fresh defense is a hold different animal . The kid is good but better than Bryant I don't think so . But we will see Syracuse is going to test him .

Bryant is transferring and Lawrence is injured. How does this saga end?

Bryce did a pretty good job, managed the 4th quarter pretty good, and had to make a comeback... pretty good game to watch.
