Dont want to sound cliche
1. We must developed a solid running game.( offensive line have to fine a way have more movement especially in the interior) 2. Defense have to stop the run. 3. Kicking game have to be solid including extra points and field goals. 4. Raynard have to have a solid Passing game. 5. We have to be able to apply pressure on the QB.

Isnt ECU a pass first team?
We Allowed 320 passing last week. Yes Stop the run but we also need to stop the passing game

If we "assume" that the things that worked last week continue to work (no funbles, no dropped punts, and we stop their running game) we just need to put lots of pressure on their QB so he has to rush passes and we have to improve our running game. That's asking a lot!

1) No turnovers 2) Put pressure on their QB 3) Give our QB time to pass 4) Win the punting game (ie. Make them have to start drives deep in their own territory) 5) Win 3rd down, both offensively and defensively

Our D-line has got to learn how to tackle.
We did a decent job of getting penetration and making Cooper move up in the pocket, but we failed numerous times to close the deal and wrap up.
No. 94 should have had about 6 sacks in that game.

For me, improved oline play is 1-5. We have other areas to improve, but it won't matter unless the offense does better than last week. Most of our troubles came down to the line. Pass blocking, run blocking and even blocking for the fg was not good.

All those lineman are use to just making contact with-the qb or just touching him during camp as Apposed to putting major hit on a QB

Pick up the pace on getting the calls in or give Raynard some reign to call plays. We gave those big linemen for JSU way too much time to get their wind

(Last 3 games we've missed plenty of opportunities.)

Cates was unblockable when he was on the left side instead of on the right side across from big #79. BJ Autry may be the best interior OL we see this season. But Cates had a big 3-sack game against Charlotte last year before he missed half of last season. He got a sack and knocked off some rust in Montgomery. I expect our DL to make a big impact in Greenville.
