I guess I'm old Dooms. It was just $1 for us! Naw, I'm old. It's probably $5 with a canned good now. How many of y'all got a brick from Scott? I got one but I have no idea where it is after our last two moves. Probably in the box with a brick in it, lol. I still have my brick. I need to get it encased in some glass.

In 4 1/2 years at A&T I never made a pre-dawn dance at Homecoming in Moores Gym. When band practice ended Friday evening and we had finished marching to the barnfire, a bunch of the band members would pack into someone's room for some heavy drinking before the dance. With all the practice and drinking, I was toast by the time the pre-dawn dance started. I'd wake up at seven on Saturday, brush my teeth (if I had time), put on my uniform, run to line up at Frazier Hall, have a few quick drinks in formation and then march in the parade.

When I heard they were tearing down Stott Hall, I asked my sister who lives in Greensboro to go get me at least one brick. When I visited her weeks later she had about a dozen bricks in a box. She said when she arrived on campus they had put up a fence around the demolition. She sweet talked one of the construction workers to haul out some bricks and put them in her car. I gave them out to a bunch of my classmates. My brick sits on my bookshelf in my home office...The Aggie Room!

I lucked out and got one from Dean Stocks.
Y'all remember the first time you rolled up on campus and Scott was gone? I was in a literal state of shock. To this day it's weird for me to go on campus and not see that gigantic oddly shaped building alongside Mitchell.

i like how they built the new dorms in scott hall's place. don't know why, but when i walk from the ticket office to where the new student union is being built, i still somehow get a sense of what it felt like when scott hall was still there. only difference is that that "diagonal" sidewalk between scott and cooper is no longer there.
and yes, i wholeheartedly agree that having one of those scott hall bricks that has bullet holes in it would be "priceless"...
