George's restaurant in the cut behind Boss Webster's joint. Boss Webster and his greasy black apron frying the best bologna sandwich ever. The Crystal Tap Room on the corner of Benbow and Market St. The Ivey Lounge next to the Crystal Tap room with the frosty beer glasses. What about the Dairy Bar next to Mom's store. Remember the smoky pool halls across from T. The railroad tracks behind the Aggie smokestack is where the ladies and men would congregate to drink hard wine and smoke. The Varsity Inn next to Sids Curb market had cold beer and pizzas.
The 1968 and 69 major riots. Remember Brother Wille Grimes who was killed in the riots. The smell of tear gas with tanks and helicopters in front of Cooper Hall. The National Guard and Greensboro police shooting and unarmed Aggie students.
Remember the football games in old Memorial Stadium. The crowds in Moore Gym to watch first class basketball games.
Deam McCoy and Dean Boone. Panty raids in Holland and Curtis Hall. The Holland Bowl held many football games by students. Plenty of wine and beer drinking in the Bowl.
The Memorial Student Union nick name was The Black Studies Onion. The card room in the Union made a lot of people Super Seniors. Barber Shop use to be in Cooper Hall and the Union.
Plenty of Sundowner's on campus. Murphy Hall and so so food.
Could go on and on. We had to walk from one end of campus to the other in 10 minutes - rain, sleet or snow. No buses like today.
Remember the Music Room in the Student Union.
Remember T.A. Clark who taught geography. All of the roses (ladies) sit in the front of the class and all of the Thorns (guys) sit in the back of the class. Everyone received an A or B in his class. It took him 45 minutes to call the roll.
Enough.

my freshman and sophomore years, we used to have these big azz "block parties" either in the moore gym parking lot or the student union parking lot. and i mean there would be "thousands" of muggs out there!
shoot, as a true freshman, i felt like i was in "heaven"! so many beautiful women, plus many more women came from "across the tracks" (that's what we called bennett college). plus, all the black college kids from uncg, greensboro college, and even guildford college would come to a&t for our block parties.
man, i kid you not, there would be "hundreds" of muggs doing "line dances" in unison in the parking lot! we used to do a line dance called "the bus stop", it was pretty similar to "the electric slide". man, i swear, those were the good ole days...

Ah, two to sixes. I used to tell my buddies that went to skeegee and FAMU that we had campus sponsored parties starting every Thursday night through Saturday night and then they were followed up by two to six parties. They ain't believe me.
$2 entry with a canned good.

Two to Sixes sound good on paper ... but they are tough to pull off.
I tried to do one 2 to 6 in undergrad. I got there at 2:35, left at 3 am.
Slept in my car until about 7 am then took by azz back home.

man, during my freshman and sophomore years (when i stayed in scott hall), i don't think i ever missed a good 2 to 6 party at the cosmos. heck, it was literally right across the street from campus, didn't need a car to get there, and we always went to breakfast at williams caf right after the 2 to 6 was over.
i don't ever recall getting "sleepy" at a 2 to 6. and the sight of a&t students leaving the club at 6am in the morning and walking back to campus was akin to a single line trail of ants all taking the same path across dudley street thru the walkway steps between vanstory and "high rise" straight to the caf for breakfast. after breakfast you'd head back to your dorm and "crash", sometimes not waking up until the afternoon.
true story! one time i crashed after a 2 to 6 and didn't wake up until night had fallen later that day. i was shocked that it was "dark" outside when i wokeup! it "startled" the living daylights outta me, i thought the world was coming to a friggin' end or that a giant "eclipse" was taking place! i didn't realize that i had slept away an entire day until i looked at the doggone clock! indeed, those were the good ole days...

I got one but I have no idea where it is after our last two moves. Probably in the box with a brick in it, lol.

Did your brick have a bullet hole in it or nah?
I would pay top dollar right now for one with a bullet hole.
