I wish him well also but, it's hard not to be disappointed because, our offense was a machine last year. There were no games where our couldn't score. Bethune Cookman was tough but, over 4 quarters that offense just started gaining traction. Good luck, Coach Hester!

How many of us would actually passed up a career opportunity like this? (Crickets). I'm glad he stuck around long enough to get us an undefeated season. I wish him nothing but success in his next position.

Come on guys, it's not a disappointment as I (we) don't want him to be successful in his next endeavor. I know I enjoyed how diverse and successful the offense was. But hell, for real for real, I hated to see TARIK leave. Not that I didn't want him to be successful. So, we should keep it all in context as well.

I figured this would happen at some point. So congrats to Coach Hester on his move. I'm less concerned about this than most. Coach Gibbs has been a de-facto run-game coordinator since Hester took over as OC. That won't really change anything. And my #1 concern about the staff make-up was Coach Barnette leaving for an OC job. Welp... problem solved. We just need a WR coach. Barnette is going to call plays and coordinate the passing game and Gibbs will co-ordinate the run game. For Barnette... it's a dream come true because he gets to call plays with his star pupil Lamar Raynard in his senior season. And being honest... if you're Coach Hester and you wanted to set up Coach Barnette with the best opportunity to succeed (and an opportunity opens up for you)... then something like this is an option. So with 24 hrs to digest this, I get it. Welp.... LOL |

I was driving down 95 last week and saw a sign for Barton College (which I'd never heard of before this thread). The sign had a picture of a football player on it and I thought to myself there's no way they have a team because I'd have heard of the college at some point if they had a football team.
Then I thought to myself "oh yeah, Hester." lol

Then I thought to myself "oh yeah, Hester." lol There's one already up on I-85 N between Greensboro & Durham with the football player graphic announcing Barton Football for 2020. Chip is on it. |
