The members of the CAA might not want to associate with us. The conference has no choice but true associate with us. But the recruits do have a choice. And my personal opinion the powers that be in Aggieland really don't give a damn about the baseball team. They can gas light all they want about what they are going to do but the proof is in the pudding they don't give a s***. That's why War Memorial continues to look like a borderline ghetto Stadium. It's just that simple. I've said this on this and on other threads: Outside of Alabama State, Bethune Cookman, Florida A&M, and MAYBE Jackson State, HBCU ADMINISTRATIONS DO NOT CARE ABOUT BASEBALL! Whenever a sport needs to be dropped? Bye, Baseball! Just look at NCCU, WSSU, ECSU, St. Aug, Shaw, Morgan, Howard, and SC State! I learned this lesson when I played here, and sadly see that NOTHING has changed since the last game I played in vs. Longwood in that stadium that everyone is dragging on this board. It was archaic and antiquated when we were there, and when I'd drop in town for a game 2000 to current, for the most part, it looked the same, down to the bathrooms! My youngest son was a pretty fair baller and Coach Hall liked him, but he chose instead to attend a PWI. An athletic decision he later regretted, but academically and socially, he thrived!

Four ?? Missed one , thought it was 3 . Brown Logan and Blantz. Brave: I jumped the gun. It's coming, though. Talked with his pops, and he's just unhappy there.

My youngest son was a pretty fair baller and Coach Hall liked him, but he chose instead to attend a PWI. An athletic decision he later regretted, but academically and socially, he thrived! i agree that most hbcu's don't give baseball much of a priority. baseball, just like several other non-revenue sports, are added to most d1 hbcu athletic departments primarily just to satisfy ncaa d1 minimum requirements for sponsored sports teams. pretty sure that if baseball was a revenue generating sport akin to football or basketball, baseball would become a much higher priority. in my "personal opinion", i believe our sports programs such as tennis and golf were only added to meet ncaa d1 minimum requirements for the number of sponsored sports teams and scholarships to remain a d1 institution. that's why a lot of folk believe that hbcu's should not compete at the d1 level because truth be told, we do not have the resources to keep pace with most pwc's relative to quality of facilities and support staffs for the non-revenue sports like baseball. consequently, our non-revenue sports are not adequately funded. we're likely never gonna see championship caliber programs in men's or women's tennis, golf, softball, or baseball...

He didn’t get much burn, and like a lot of kids who were very good in high school/showcase ball, making the leap to D1 baseball in a high mid-major was tough. That, & he doesn’t see us climbing into the top 6 in the conference with what we have on the hill & offensively. When 8 dingers leads a d1 team, it’s an issue. Coach is going to have to recruit very hard.

Just to make sure you guys are upset with the right person... Bill Barlow's department is responsible for renovation of the stadium, not the athletics department.
Athletics is a customer of Facilities department.

It's always somebody else's fault.

It's always somebody else's fault. That is how organizations work, each department has a specific role. The college of engineering was not in charge of construction of their new building.

Plausible deniability.
Just like how you guys previously blamed the stadium delays on the City of Greensboro, and the Historical Committee, and asbestos, and the sea turtles ... and now Bill Barlow.
Funny how you guys are quick to circle the wagons and come up with lame excuses when you know something is not getting done at A&T.

I thought it didn’t get done because we had a gang problem in the 90’s

"everything" starts from the top no matter who further down the totem pole has specific responsibilities. the chancellor is responsible for "everything", can't point the finger at someone else who works for the chancellor for the failure to accomplish certain tasks...

So are you saying that Bill Barlow is the reason why War Memorial Stadium has been a complete dump for the past 6 plus years and that everyone else at A&T has done their job perfectly?
