Lets Be Clear , The University doesn't own War Memorial. The City of Greensboro stills own the deed to the property. The State will not take the property as is. The City and University has agreement we play and maintain the fields. The Athletic Department uses the University Employees to cut the grass and clean the locker rooms and bathrooms as much as possible. Baseball Coach has to use his budget and foundation account to get repairs done. Also Billy Edringston and Danyel Williams are working with Coach Hall very close to get simple things done like, field repairs , fence repairs, roof leaks , cleaning of bleachers. The University can't spend state funds own a building we don't own. The scoreboard is being shipped in boxes next week and installation will be complete By April if no delays. Baseball coach spent $5000 on current scoreboard last year and it stopped working. Also their are some environmental issues the city has to take also.

Thanks for the update. I have no reason to believe you are not 100 percent accurate, but it would have been nice if someone from the administration would have shared this information.
Question: did the baseball coach get a refund for the scoreboard that stopped working? Did he keep the receipt? That seems like a serious waste of money if we just threw $5,000 down the drain.

Slow progress is being made but our guys definitely deserve better. They got a new scoreboard midway through last season and renovations have been made on restrooms and locker rooms.

Its difficult Great work Thrilla keep us updated! When its ours I will be ALL IN, its a damn shame the City is treating us this way when considering the amount of money Homecoming brings to the city lL they upgraded Gate City BLVD(AKA) Hight Point Road because of us and hotel prices continue to go up. |

So we need about $7 mil to change War Memorial from a dump to a decent venue. If we had a spare $7 million I think there are lots of things we could fix up. Man one of you guys have got to hit the lottery and help upgrade our facilities! |

Saw the first few innings of the BCU game on ESPNU today. I am completely aware of our stadium circumstances, but we can’t televise game there! That was not a good look for our Great University!
