Don't baseball fans take stats at the game? Don't we also have a PA announcer to announce the current score and inning? Yes and yes. But our kids deserve a scoreboard done right. So I can be patient for a few more weeks for that.

Patience for a Division One baseball stadium that can't even display the score of the game or what inning that said game is in? Surely you jest. This problem should have been solved yesterday. Maybe the reason why the stadium is still in the condition it's in, is because too many folks here have been patiently going to games with no scoreboard. If yall dont see the sheer embarrassment it is for a school of our caliber to not even be able to display the score of an official sporting event, then maybe we need to rethink the concept of Aggie Pride. BT... if it was up to you, you'd have thrown all our extra money at football, and we would have no money to do anything for baseball. So on this issue, you're the last person who needs to tell anyone to rethink their concept of Aggie Pride. If you're going to do a GoFundMe fundraiser, I hope you would have contacted Shamika in athletics as well.

Extra money? You could build a manually-operated scoreboard as a class project for the mechanical engineering department. With the free labor it would cost you nothing but the price of parts, which would probably be under $500.
WE JUST NEED SOMETHING TO TELL THE FRIGGIN SCORE AND INNING RIGHT NOW. I am not asking for computer graphics or video highlights. I am not asking for names of the batting order or even how many errors each team has. I just want to know what is the score at the bottom of the sixth inning.
The fact that I have to explain that sincere desire to other graduates of this university totally flabbergasts me.
And captaggie, you know what really brings negative attention? When visitors come to Memorial Stadium for an A&T baseball game and they leave with the impression that A&T is such a low class institution they we can't even afford to have a functional scoreboard at our home games.
You can't blame those same visitors if they wonder how good can our technology and engineering departments really be if no one in the entire university can figure out a way to display the score for a college baseball game.
Yall want to patiently wait 30 more days for something that should have been done before the first pitch was thrown this season, and while we continue to draw that kind of negative attention?

We are the largest HBCU in America and we have a Division One baseball program. This is unacceptable: Our ace pitcher could be throwing a no-hitter in the bottom of the ninth right now and no one in the stadium would know it.

BTW: How hard would it be to place a couple of these signs around the stadium entrance, so at least visitors would know we have a plan:

Who knows. Apparently it is top secret info that only a few people around here are privy too.
You will have a better chance of getting a guided tour around Area 51 in Nevada than you will have of someone in the administration providing an update on War Memorial.

BTW: Can you imagine what it must've felt like for our baseball team to battle against NCSU down in Raleigh at a first-rate facility and then come back to Greensboro and have to play their next game at a stadium that doesn't even have a scoreboard?

Corbett has NEVER been in the condition that War Memorial is.
At the very least, you could always tell the score at a basketball game in Corbett.
There is no comparison.

It's an embarrassment plain and simple. We would have been better off playing at another municipal field like Greensboro College does for its teams until War Memorial was ready to be put into service.

Though I haven't been inside War Memorial since the 1979 Homecoming game, I see we are scheduled to play 33 of our 54 games there. I agree with 'thrilla, if it’s a dump, other arrangements should have been made until it’s no longer a dump, irrespective of ownership and especially if we are the owners. Have we ever played anywhere else?
