My senior year in high school I had a gray t-shirt with blue and gold lettering that just said "A&T". I wore it everywhere and everyone (in NC) knew who it was. I hate having alphabet soup, particularly on the new football jerseys. If you google "A&T", we're first in that search. If you google "ncat" and hit images, the first 400 images are about us. First 400.

I've grown to like NCAT. It's as A&T as Ayantee and "T". The school will evolve and so will the colloquial names students and other will refer to it as. It doesn't take away the mystique of our Aggie Pride. So have I. And it's easy for kids when go to apply. ncat.edu

Gotta grow and change with the times. “A&T” was NCAT since my freshman year in 05(email and Facebook inception log in time period) It doesn’t really matter as long as we’re still NC AT&T on espn and other networks. NCAT is an afterthought on the national and global stage of representation compared to NC AT&T.
What are the negative connotations associated with NCAT that will hinder us from progressing?

BTW: I think historians will look back and say that our golden era officially ended in the fall of 2020.
We are now in a new period of Aggie football.

I've watched for years as UNC Charlotte tried to dump their association with UNC Chapel Hill. They don't want to be perceived as UNC Chapel Hills step child. With 29,000 students and growing, located in the state's largest city, UNC C wants to be a "stand-alone" university.
Their first attempt to rebrand themselves was to refer to themselves as the "49ers" That stuck around for a few years but didn't catch on. Then they did like Prince and started to us a symbol that looked like a miners pick in the letter "C." That was cute but unless you attended UNCC you had no idea what it meant. The other day I say a YouTube video produced by the University that just called themselves..."Charlotte." They showed campus facilities and activities and kept saying "Charlotte." So now they are basically saying they are Charlotte University! Confusing?
I think we should rebrand ourselves as "NC Aggies" or "A&T Aggies" It's much easier to remember, it's more than a bunch of alphabets and most alumni would accept it.

If we "need" Connell Maynor, we're in bigger trouble than we realize Do you mean Connell "I'm only paid to win SWAC games" Maynor? after he lost 59-0 to UAB.

If we "need" Connell Maynor, we're in bigger trouble than we realize Do you mean Connell "I'm only paid to win SWAC games" Maynor? after he lost 59-0 to UAB. Maybe that was actually true. Not stuntin for Connell but not gonna hold the statement against him. At the average MEAC or SWAC school you're really only expected to win conference games, rival game, and homecoming. In the SWAC the goal is the SWAC champ game and the Celebration Bowl. His contract could very well only pay him for winning SWAC games. That being typed, he did a not great job at it lately. At this juncture of A&T football bringing him home when we're headed where we are would be the "golden error of A&T football."
