C'Coriea is a former ESPN top-100 recruit from Fayetteville. She is a 6'0" G transferring from Alabama after her freshman year. Coach Rob is not messing around.

great pickup! sharpless gave us a heads up under another thread. yeah, you’re right. coach “t” rob ain’t messin’ around! now that he’s got that meac championship feather in his cap, his "already amazing" recruiting will probably get even better than it already is, which quite possibly could push us to become a "midmajor power"...

Winning breeds winning.....a 6-ft guard is nice height. I guess she'll be eligible for the 2017-18 season - correct?

That's great news...now if we can get men's basketball off the ground we'd be straight.

who is the guy on the men's staff that can sit down at a table and close a deal? Just like you need closers on the court, you need closers on your coaching staff. We need a staff that can sell the big picture, not just playing basketball. We need to stop chasing kids and take kids that truly have an interest in A&T.
Additionally, you need a coach with ties to various travel team programs and grass roots programs, but more importantly, we need a staff that will listen when someone tries to tell them about a kid.

heck, i posed this question in the private forum, but if joyner doesn’t work out over the long term, why not give coach “t” rob a look as the men’s head coach? he certainly has the qualifications. and if he can recruit men half as well as he can recruit women, we might have a sleeping giant on our hands...

There are people (including myself) which questioned this hire. Nevertheless, he's been hired as our coach and we shouldn't be throwing any negativity his way before he coaches his first game. I understand what you're getting at, but let's not put the seeds in anyone's mind that Joyner will fail as our head coach. You, me or no one else wants that. Let's just leave such hypothetical talk alone......
Furthermore, we shouldn't have to sacrifice one program for the betterment of another. Robinson is a great women's coach. Let him continue to build his program in his image.

I think we'll have to see if the dynamic between Coach Joyner being the assistant and Coach Cy being the closer is different than Coach Corbett/Brown being the assistants and Coach Joyner being the closer. My initial thought is that it likely will be different, and in a good way... but we'll see. Getting Ray Pratt from Smith HS is a good sign. We'll see how good Jay's network is in NC over the next 2 years. I think coaches accepting emails from alums is a good thing. And there's plenty of tape on kids online to see who's a fit. I just wouldn't have an expectation that just because we send an email that our guy is "the one". Coach Rob gets hundreds of emails each year. Coach Broadway's staff gets more. We still have to let coaches do their job. We still have to do our best to put the resources out there to win. And then we have the right to expect them to win.
