Courtesy: NC A&T Sports Information Spring Game Brings About ChangeRelease: 04/12/2016 GREENSBORO (April 12, 2016) – North Carolina A&T will hold its annual spring Blue & Gold Spring Game 1 p.m., Saturday at Aggie Stadium with an important new wrinkle. Saturday’s Spring Game will actually be a game similar to what fans will see when the fall starts. In the past, the Spring Game has simply been all of the offensive players versus all of the defensive players because there were too few players to play a traditional game. This year’s game will feature the first-team offense and the second-team defense (Blue) against the first-team defense and the second-team offense (Gold). Therefore, there will be changes of possession and touchdowns like a real game. “We’re excited about it,” said N.C. A&T head coach Rod Broadway. “We want to grow this game and make it a big deal. We think we’re building a pretty solid program around here, so we can get people excited about all aspects of Aggie football it will help us grow even more.” Admission is free for the Blue & Gold Spring game. In addition to fans seeing a traditional Spring Game, there will also be numerous festivities for fans who attend. Free games, music and food will be in the parking lot of Aggie Stadium. Food vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for fans who enter Aggie Stadium. Meals from places such as Zaxby’s Darryl’s, Domino’s and Penn Station Subs who will be passing out meals immediately following the game. The Aggies are coming off one the best season’s 92-year history. The Aggies finished 10-2 overall and 7-1 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference to win their second straight MEAC title and eighth overall. It was only the school’s third season of 10 wins or more. N.C. A&T also captured their third Black College National Championship thanks in part to winning the inaugural Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl 41-34 over Alcorn State on Dec. 19, 2015. “We’re good enough to where we have a chance,” said Broadway. “Even with the success we’ve had, we have to continually get better. Every team in this league is getting better, so we can’t rely on our past accomplishments to help us this year.” link

man, i’m seriously thinking about going to the spring game. the only thing is that i’ll have to leave home very early in the morning, like no later than 7am. ooooouch!! but the good news is that i’d leave early enough to beat all of the traffic backups on i95 south out of dc.
by the way, i forgot who gave me the heads up on taking “route 1” whenever i95 south of dc is backed up. but i’ve tried it several times since then and it has worked like a friggin’ charm! great alternative if i95 is backed up, in either direction...

Man when I lived in Waldorf 20 years ago I would always go home that way...Down Route 301 dont have to get on 95 until just before kings dominion

Any guesses on who's the first and second team QB's? Anybody curious about the second team running back? Is it bad that I'm more excited about seeing how the second team performs? We're getting to that level of knowing our defense will be ok regardless like SCSU. With a better OL I wouldn't count Raynard out.......
Such a great predicament to be in.

The Crimson and Gray game is a staple of Spring football in the Palouse. I'm pretty excited to see the Aggies do the same thing.

Man when I lived in Waldorf 20 years ago I would always go home that way...Down Route 301 dont have to get on 95 until just before kings dominion yeah, route 301 is what i take when i know for sure in advanced that i95 is backed up as far south as fredricksburg like during rush hour. but what makes route 1 even better than 301 is that route 1 basically runs “parallel” to i95 and there’s numerous exits to route 1 along i95. so if you run into an unexpected backup on i95, its very easy to just take the next route 1 exit and bypass the backup until you’ve passed the backup, then you can get right back on i95. and it works both ways, outbound or inbound to dc. plus, route 1 is far less of a detour than 301. so you lose less time on route 1 than you lose on 301. but they’re both good alternatives, just that i think route 1 is a little faster and more convenient than 301 as long as i95 is not completely backed up all the way down to fredricksburg. if backed up to fredricksburg, 301 is a better option...

The QB #2 was Femi...the WR #2 was Carlis Parker, a 6'2" transfer Jr. from Virginia Tech. Both looked good, IMO. Keyes had a right ankle/foot injury. Hopefully it's not serious. That said...the winner for me was Raynard and the pass rush. It's going to be a very competitive training camp. Sent from my LGLS991 using proboards
