My understanding is there was a swastika drawn with somebody's poop on a wall somewhere.
Then the gay black student council prez went on a hunger strike.
Then some black students stopped the former president's car during the homecoming parade and demanded he do something about how black students are treated on campus.
Then the former prez didn't bother to respond to them at all.
Then the football team said they weren't going to play until he resigned.
Then he resigned.
What am I missing? Did they attempt to meet with the prez at all before they up and stopped the homecoming parade or was this out of left field for him?
What made the prez totally ignore them after they showed up at the parade?
How can you possibly be gay and black and be elected student body prez at a major university like Mizzou and say they ain't liberal enough?
Did they all choose Mizzou over Lincoln?
To me, if the first time they mentioned problems to the prez was during the parade, they're dead wrong. If they tried to meet with him prior or met with him and he did nothing, good riddance.
Somebody help a brutha out...

As I said in another thread it has been going on for months. "In August of 2014, the University of Missouri met the shooting of Mike Brown with silence," according to the statement posted on Twitter Monday morning and signed by seven student leaders. "In the following months, our students were left stranded, forced to face an increase in tension and inequality with no systemic support. Over the last sixteen months, the quality of life for our students has only worsened." www.nydailynews.com/news/national/missouri-faculty-threaten-walkout-football-strike-article-1.2427893

LOL ,it wasn't the gay black student body prez who went on the hunger strike , it was a grad student .Also the faculty staged a walkout also . It was a series of incidents over a period of time that they felt he didn't address .
