We just need a few more dominant players so we can get over the MEAC tourney hump....

I think we need a "quick" guard like Tweet to round out our team!

Aggie Groove, you hit the nail on the head. Our guard play and lack of hustle has killed us the last 3 years in Norfolk.

This is the Lady Aggies' year...
- 5 seniors (most experienced group we've had) - Experienced guard play - Experienced front court play - Pain of losing in the semis of the MEAC in multiple years - Exceptional freshman class - Growth of Coach Robinson and his staff
2015-16 is the year for A&T Women's Basketball... let's go!!!!

durhamgsoaggie, I hope you're right about the lady Aggies. They had a lot of internal turmoil last year that took a toll on the team. Hopefully this year, they find a way to put it all together.
I think this is going to be A&T's sports year in the MEAC. I'm expecting the football team to be rock-solid this year, Cy will get things turned around and win the MEAC Tournament and the Lady Aggies will return to their position at the top of the MEAC. Oh, and our National Championship Lady Bowling team will be back to defend their title!

Durhamsoaggie, I hear you and that sounds good. Our coach is a very good coach but to me he is too passive on the sideline. He needs to show more emotion on the sideline and translate that to his players.
Too me that has been his Achilles Heel not showing enough emotion to motivate his players to run through a wall, dive for loose balls and be aggressive on both ends of the floor.
We have lost in the MEAC TOURNAMENT for the past 3 years because of lack of hustle, motivation and emotion.
UCONN, DUKE, TENNESSEE, CAROLINA- those coaches shows emotion on the sidelines both positive and negative to make those players win. They are not afraid to display it either.
Coach Rob is good but could be better or great if he got fired up on the sidelines more to motivate his players.
I liked when he got that 'double tech' and got thrown out of the game during a game in Corbett this past year. His departure made our team play harder with enthusiasm and great hustle. The assistant coach who took over for him was pumped up and did a fantastic job replacing him. The entire bench was pumped up.
He ain't got to raise holy hell but raise enough to pump the players up when they are underachieving.
That's all I am saying. Show more emotion on the sideline and quit being overly passive.

Oh, and our National Championship Lady Bowling team will be back to defend their title! I'm with you MB...I believe in our Lady Aggies...they overcame a lot... Football... I believe in them... championship or bust!! Men's Basketball... I really think we can win the MEAC... watching the 2-man game off pick and roll with Sam Hunt and Bruce Beckford is going to be fun to watch. I don't think there will be a better shooting frontcourt/backcourt duo in the league. Jamin Lackey and Deion James are going to be fun to watch on the wings. The team just has to augment that foundation and keep improving the defense. Bowling... only one more step... win the MEAC and win the NCAA Division I title... they're in prime position to do that!! Tennis... yes, I said it... Don't sleep on Coach Akande and the international movement. We'll be a mix of domestic/international... but way more competitive than in past year. Track & Field... you guys may want to stop by Aggie Stadium this weekend... Coach Ross has both squads primed to take the crown this year.... but certainly next year. 2015-2016 is primed to be a boom sports year to celebrate our 125th anniversary. It should be fun to watch!

We have lost in the MEAC TOURNAMENT for the past 3 years because of lack of hustle, motivation and emotion. C'mon now...I've had my concerns with Robinson, too. However, if you think we lost the game to Savannah this year because of lack of hustle, motivation, and emotion, we're gonna have to agree to disagree. Savannah was cat quick. Their quickness killed us. They also were an experienced team. We didn't get outhustled.....they just had quicker feet and sound coaching on the sideline. We had lost 2 straight years in the MEAC semifinals before this year. WE WERE MOTIVATED. Sometimes, teams are just better than you. Sometimes, there are coaches who are just a little better than you. Both regular season games against them were nail-bters. They beat us in Corbett this year. Robinson just completed his 3rd year as a head coach.........he's nowhere near a finished product on the sideline. Personally, he just needs more time to grow into the position. I don't need a yeller on the sidelines; I need a coach who knows quality talent, knows how to groom talent and knows what to do in crunch situations. Yelling, hollering, animation.....it may look good and be attention-grabbing.......but if Coach Rob was given those attributes before the 3 semifinal games we've had in the MEAC tourny over the past few years, we'd still be 0-3. A&T women's basketball program has clearly been one of the best programs in the MEAC.........NOT THE BEST. I'm realistic about this; I just cannot expect a head coach of only 3-year's experience to be running roughshod over head coaches who've been at this for years (((on a side note, that's why I'm highly pissed with Cy at this point in time vs Coach Rob. He's just too experienced to be putting up back-to-back 9-23 seasons.....but I digress)))It has been sickening to see us lose for 3 straight years in the semi's.....but this program is healthy. Allow it to continue to grow....coach included.

I understand where you're coming from, AB.... I chalk this one under my point about the growth of Coach Robinson. If you're not naturally an outwardly emotional person... you can't just go flip on a switch and be that. It doesn't work for the person and for the people around them who aren't used to that behavior. I agree that the BCU ejection was a growth step in that regard for him and the team. We all know that in sports, Xs and Os only take you but so far. Heart, passion and will typically takes us to a championship level. I think the foundation and hard lessons have been learned. I think they're primed to win it for us next season.

NSS don't get me wrong. Coach Rob is a good coach and has a good program so far. We have very good players also.
I am not advocating for him to be hollering on the sidelines at his players throughout the game because that is not his personality.
I am talking about showing emotion in a tough manner or get in your face manner on occasion when it is required. Many coaches know when to do this and get positive results.
Savannah was quicker than us at the guard position and I admit to that. However, for the third straight year in Norfolk we have blown halftime leads and lost the games.
We lost because we were out hustled in the second half each year. It seems as though we are not in shape as other teams because we always fade and be a step slower in the second half.
Each of the last 3 years we have lost to teams that were inferior to us or equal to us. Savannah should have been beaten. When we started to fade and not hustle that is when the coach should have taken his hands out of his pockets and got in their cases.
This to me is what he is lacking as a coach. If he would start to show some type of emotion it might get us over the hump. This may provide him a champion sip.
