We have a good chance of going 10-1 with 9 FCS wins.... and if the OL gets it together against UNC.... we could pull the upset.... We can defintely pull this FCS at-large bid. If we go 10-1 we'll be in Atlanta playing Alcorn or Grambling.

I really feel like our administration was not for giving up the AQ bid and will do what it can to get into the FCS playoffs as an at-large bid if we're at 10-1 or 9-2... including being prepared to make a home-game bid after our AD was able to observing the process up close and personal last year.

i hope and pray that scsu can survive this attack from the republicans. its very unfortunate that the "tea party" is trying to close their doors. actually scsu is lucky that this news came out "after" signing day and not prior to signing day because they could've lost some recruits behind this news... Please tell me how the Tea Party CREATED that big $$$$ Deficit...how the Tea Party Reduced enrollment...how the Tea Party created that Pitiful graduation rate. they didn't, but they are responsible for the “legislative initiative” to close scsu. wow, who are you? armstrong williams?

I feel the opposite about the timing. The incoming freshmen may be stuck without a home and a lot of the scholarship money is now gone. true, but unless scsu releases their recruits from their scholarships, those guys can't back out of their commitment provided scsu doesn't close their doors. but the idea of potentially being on a sinking ship may be unsettling to some of those guys and they may want to reconsider their decision to attend scsu...

We sould also expect a serious fine ($100,000 +) coming from the MEAC if we skip this Champ. Game for the Playoffs.

Please share if you have something on it. I am skimming through the By-Laws now but skipping the champ game would be looked at as a "Major Controversy" by the conference front office and CCEO's and we would be subject to discipline from the conference. Teams already get hit $25,000 for scheduling more than one sub-division 1 team and Delaware State was fined over $100,000 for skipping our on our game for Michigan back in 2009.

Those fines were for regular-season schedule issues, not post-season, which is voluntary (usually to the advantage of the school).... Pulling that card is a measure of how much the MEAC values A&T. With SCSU in limbo.... if they go that route on us, that's pushing us out the door, IMO.... And if we bounce with SCSU in trouble... that's major trouble for the MEAC. It's something for the member institutions and the MEAC to think about....

Wouldn't be surprised if we depart the MEAC if they go the bowl route.
