I hate to make comparisons from high school to college.....but I know how our frontcourt was last year. On this tape alone, he exhibits more athleticism and post presence than what we had on the team last year. I also like his movement. He moves up and down the floor and in the halfcourt set like a basketball player. Let's face it, a lot of big dudes that come to our level look like they have difficulty running or even showing inherent basketball skills. This dude has both. I've said it from day one - Cy knows talent. We just gotta get some here that can change our fortunes. We just haven't had enough talent to beat the better teams in the conference.

Looks like he has the potential of being the second coming of James Worthy! :-)

Funny how things change, right now I would settle for the second coming of Austin Witter. This guy does seem to have a lot of potential though.

How many schools has this guy been to? Now he's in the post grad basketball program at Fishburne Military School. Anybody know anything about Fishburne, or its Coach Ed Huckaby Jr.?

maybe its just me, but i’m not totally blown away by this kid. now don’t get me wrong, i’m praying that he signs with us. but i like the kid that signed with high point better than i like this dude. i dunno, but just looking at the competition video, it seemed to me that he was at least 5 or 6 inches taller than anybody else on the court.
his workout video is really nice! but heck, i can look like an “all pro” when i’m working out by myself. me personally, i rather judge based on competition videos when somebody is guarding him. however, the workout video does show that he has a nice shooting touch and some pretty decent footwork. but more than a couple of times, he “traveled” like a mugg when he did his “up and under” moves. one of the very few problems that come with a former nba player as your personal trainer is that he may teach you some moves that will work in the nba because the nba is not “strict” on traveling calls, but they are strict in college and high school.
nonetheless, i still hope he signs with us, he looks to be a good player. you can never have enough big bodies on the team...
