Artificial noise makers, including cow bells and thunder sticks are against ncaa rules. It's up to the home team to enforce.

I checked with our Compliance office last spring. MEAC rules allow for artificial noisemakers for football, but not for indoor venues such as basketball. The key is that noisemakers can be used during the play... only before and after.

I've had noise makers during both football & basketball season......I say keep em going....I know after that A&T/WSSU game, we'll never get lil toy footballs again.........lol
