I read this but I don't believe it. This has got to be a mistake. If it's not, Aggies need to mobilize now. We need an explanation for this move by the governor and his republican friends. Gov. Pat McCrory signs bill authorizing improvements for "some" state supported universities. No additional funds for HBCU's! RALEIGH -- Gov. Pat McCrory has signed a bill authorizing approximately $376 million of improvements for six schools in the University of North Carolina system. A statement from the governor's office says the money for the improvements will come from various fees, receipts, grants and fund raising income and not from tuition or taxpayer money. The bill will help with projects at East Carolina, UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina State, UNC-Asheville, Western Carolina and UNC-Charlotte. East Carolina will get the most money, $156 million, to improve the Student Union Building, the Health Sciences Campus Student Services Building and constructing a new parking structure. UNC-Charlotte is getting $129 million to build a new residence hall, renovate four other halls and building various infrastructure. At N.C. State, Reynolds Coliseum will get $35 million in improvements. Read more: meacfanszone.proboards.com/thread/25411/repub-approvs-376m-schools-hbcus?page=1&scrollTo=391329#ixzz37OqeMYRt

Well I stand corrected on the information about state funding. The article is specifically for non-appropriated projects. We have 3 non-appropriated projects that are under construction or have been completed: new Sebastian Health Center, Aggie SkyBox and the new union.
They are funded through student fees, private donors and other non-state revenues.
The articles nor the governor's press release really clarify that but that's the background on it. Sorry I mislead you on this one. Additionally we have a number of appropriated projects on the books right now.
