Did you hear what our Lady Aggies did... The North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team got off to its best start in school history by getting the ball as close to the basket as it could and scoring. The Aggies bludgeoned UNC Asheville with layup after layup after layup in an 83-57 win at Kimmel Arena Tuesday night.
As a result, the Aggies are 7-1, they have won seven straight and they surpassed the 2007-08 Aggies for best start in school history. The Aggies placed five players in double figures led by Tracy King’s 15 points, six assists and four steals on 6-for-8 shooting. Christina Carter added 14 points and five assists, while Debbie Smith came off the bench to score 14 on 6-for-12 shooting.

This Aggie team is young, talented and well coached. They have a chance to be very special this season.

This is shaping up to be a potentially great year.
If they sweep the rest of the non-conference games, their RPI should be pretty good heading into MEAC play...
We even hit 5 of 6 from 3-pt range on the road.... impressive

i like how everybody isn’t raising expectations too high for our ladies. i like how most folk are saying our ladies may “potentially” have a very special season and i agree with that. we still have a ways to go before meac play begins. but right now, things are looking extremely good. wonder what happened to all those folks who complained about coach “t” rob allowing several of coach bibbs’ recruits to transfer? remember how the world was supposed to come to an end? i mean we had 20 plus pages worth of controversy over that stuff. but look at where we are now? that’s why i always say, leave the coaching decisions up to the coach. we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes like the coach does. the coach will be held accountable for his actions based by the production of his team. and so far, based on the production of his team, coach “t” rob seemingly made the right moves. and here’s the biggest bonus for coach “t” rob, he only has “2” seniors on this year’s squad! wholly batman!! we should be even better next season...

btw, our game against gw this weekend will not be an easy game. gw is a pretty good team and we’re gonna have to play “focused” basketball to beat them in their place. its kinda ironic though because gw’s arena (the smith center) must have come from the same “blueprint” as corbett sports center, they’re essentially the exact same design. the only difference pretty much is that gw has made a lot more upgrades to their facility than we have. but structurally, they’re almost exactly the same. they even have the same colors as we do.
hopefully we’ll have a good turnout from the local dmv aggie alums. unfortunately, the game starts at an early time this saturday, at 12 noon. so we have to get there early. street parking at gw’s smith center is “literally” a bytch! better catch the metro (subway) if you don’t want a headache trying to find nearby street parking. gw is in the “heart” of one of dc’s busiest city districts. might not be as bad as usual though since the game is on a weekend and played early in the day. but i ain’t taking no chances, i’ll take the metro there. hope to see a lot of aggies at the game! get the word out!! our ladies are rolling...

With as many Aggies in the DMV area there SHOULD be a good crowd on hand to support the Ladies.....I hope folk can spread the word and get a good # of Aggies to come out and get behind this team. It would really be an extra push for the ladies to come out and see a crowd of Aggies in the building.....
