The QB from HP Andrew Raynard and the running back Cartwright were offered last week to play for A&T Raynard stands 6'6" 192 lbs, has thrown for 2450 yards for 28 td's with only 4 inter. Just won the state 2AA champ. Cartwright stands 5'9" 198lbs has 2890 yards rushing 39 TD's runs the 40 in 4.45. I think he is the second best back in NC. They are going to sign sometime this week. Both are good student, Raynard has a 4.2 GPS. and Cartwright has a 3.5 www.hpe.com/sports/x1388439163/TWA-s-Raynard-Cartwright-shine-on-big-stageGPS

Glad to see that we at least offered. Staffs in the past ignored a lot of our State Championship (and runner-up) kids. It didn't make any sense as to why they did, but we all know what those staffs accomplished.
Good job. Hope we land a few.

Well Bustle has been doing his homework all along and watching their games like I did. Check out the higlights on these two local backyard talents. These youngsters have the grades, can flat ball and are well coached. Getting out first with offers means a lot when it comes to recruting these days. Kids want to go where they are really wanted and not going to be caught in the numbers games iike in the big programs. Hopefully Broadway and Bustle can seal the deal. They would certainly fill two big needs for us for the future. High Point always has talent at Central and Andrews. I watched the championship games between HP Andrews and Monroe 2A ,and Dudley and Scotland 4A . There definitely is major talent on these teams , and I'm hopeful that Broadway and coach Bustle will continue to recruit and land some of these guys .

Aggie One is right about the talent in High Point. Andrews has four players in the NFL, the only school in NC high school that has more than one active Player in NFL. Marcus Gilcrest.... San. Diego William Hayes ....... St. Louis Rams Adrain Wilson ...... New England Chris Degeare ..... New York Giants, injure reserved, Played 3 years at Andrews

Marquell Cartwright was a late entry in this year Shrine Bowl in S.C. for this Sat. He left late Monday. I hope none of those D1 recurits get their hands on him. Maybe A&T needs to send someone down there to protect there interest in him. To think about it they probably have someone there looking at other recurits.

College football coaches and ascouts are barred from going to these all-star games by the NCAA or having contact, direct or indirect with recruits plus it falls into the 30-day dead period that begins Friday which ends January 16th.

Andrews QB Raynard and RB Cartwright will tour NC&T Friday Sat. and Sunday for recuriting visit. I would guess there would be orther recurits there too, to get commitments. NCPreps.com has announced RB Marquell Cartwright of T.W. Andrews High School as the winner of Mr. 2A Football for the 2013 season. Cartwright was a key member of the Red Raider 2AA state championship team. The senior ran 233 times for 2,650 yards with 38 touchdowns. - See more at: ncpreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1598020#sthash.v0tOhgHL.dpuf

I would guess there would be orther recurits there too, to get commitments. too bad we couldn't get them there during homecoming weekend to let them see what ghoe is all about. with the festive atmosphere, a sellout crowd, and parties everywhere, that's a good way to sell recruits on a&t. i'm pretty sure coach broadway had some recruits at ghoe but i suppose these guys weren't there. it also helps that we've had back to back 7-4 seasons and that we beat both app state and elon this past season...
