You mean the guy that lead the team in interceptions, right?

Hell, he also tied for the lead in passes defended.
Wait, you typed that you were optimistic because we put points on the board. Dude, we were 111th in the nation in scoring offense. That’s six from dead last. But I guess it’s improvement because last year we were dead last.
There is an issue of credibility here Gator. Unless you have Doug Williams standing next to you your statements has no credibility.

Just depends on how you look at it Dooms. I see things one way, and you another. It's called interpretation.
In the words of Louis Farrakan, "I don't need you to validate me."

You need somebody to validate you because you're contradicting yourself. Optimistic because we put points on the board doesn't jibe with sixth from the bottom in scoring offense. You're on here saying we need to bench the guy that led us in interceptions and tied for the lead in passes defended.
In the words of Francis 13X, bean pie my brother? Cause with reasoning like that you need nourishment and nutrition.

Last year we scored ten. This year 14. When you look up the word "negligible" in the dictionary that stat will be given.
Any more questions?

Seriously though, while I can't understand your refusal to see that the best idea for us ain't to have Fobbs on the sidelines, I do appreciate your gung ho attitude towards ensuring Fobbs' success.
I just don't share it. It's not that I don't want to see him successful, it's that he's had two whole years and a hell of a nice paycheck to do anything and he hasn't done it. He practically said himself he didn't know what to do in the Howard game when we got ahead. He stated that all of last year he counted as a “bye” year and that “we didn’t have a team” when it was his job to create a team. He’s not doing his job. I’d feel far more comfortable with him in another position in the school or the hell away from the school. I would have no problem with him in athletics administration. He just has proven time and again he is not a head coach.
Why give him 11 more games (or worse yet, 22) to prove it further? There's no way he's getting an extension. Everybody knows that no matter what he does he's out in two years. Why prolong the obvious?

OK Gator you answered my question. 5 games is what you expect, so after winning 3-4 games next year what would you do with him then? And dont forget, next years team will be mostly upperclassmen, no more "we so young" excuses.

He'd give him a two-year extension.
Well, one big move was made despite the title of the article. We could argue that it wasn't football-related but that's probably at least 50% of why she was fired }ahem{ reassigned.

I personally actually believe you can win 4 games with next years team without any coaching skills. Not even Fobbs should be able to screw that up. A good coach should be able to get 7-8 wins with the talent we have coming back. So if he wins 7 or 8 I will come back on here and eat crow, but what I think he will do is win 4 and screw up 4 more with some terrible a$$ play calling. 2-3 games will just be games we lost because you cant win them all.

I think you could win seven or eight with next year's team without trying. They had about six they should have won this year and most everybody is coming back (I guess). Most of the conference is losing key players.
It's the year after next that will further expose the inabilities.
Of course, if he doesn't come back...
I mean, if they give the A.D. job to Wheels, he'll need an assistant.
