i think you could argue that this loss to howard hurts more then the loss in 93 when we were both unbeaten. im not sure but it would be a pretty good argument.

We went into the Howard game in '93 expecting to win. The '07 game, we were just hoping to see the sights and see the rest of the DC Alums who managed to make it out to the game.

After the '93 loss, our program seemed to take an immediate dip and didn't resurrect itself for a few years. I'm not expecting the '07 loss to do much more damage to our already floundering program.

I would agree, 93 was a heartbreaker that will always be talked about because of the teams, the weather, the atmosphere, and of course the game itself. This loss though painful is just another footnote in the Coach Fobb's era. But it's the biggest footnote yet, even bigger than the 70-7 defeat.

i would agree that the program took a dip after that game howard in 93 we never did recover from that loss that season and it took a couple of seasons before we got back to that elite level which was probably around 98 although we didnt play in the postseason that year.

'93 was a b*tch. I wouldn't blame the dip we took on that game. I would blame the dip on the fact that we graduated the whole offensive line and most of the offensive backfield.
