The recruiter for the triangle area I believe is Dwike Wilson. Well he has Vance, Warren, Granville, Franklin, areas I know. Let me tell you a little story about his visit to my school... Well this guy comes in with jeans and loafers on. He has a white button down shirt (first few buttons un-buttoned) with a black blazer. Mind you, the collars of the shirt was out. Now I thought the brother was fly, no doubt. The problem was that it didnt represent A&T well. He really looked like he was going to the club or something. Damn...

That is why I've been saying over and over again, Dwike has to go if no one else does. He is one man destructive force. Our worst performances are from QBs and special teams which he coaches. And he is the recruiting coordinator.
DWIKE HAS TO GO!!! NOW!! This pisses me off!
Thrilla, Can we write official letter of displeasure from BDF to Todd and Fobbs regarding this kind of representation of A&T on a recruiting trip? We did just give up a few dollars towards recruiting.
Who does he think he is? Shine? ;D

The Triangle area recruiter is currently Frenchers. He was just iin Durham on Friday the week A&T played on that Thursday. This is Frenchers first year with us, so he may be taking that the Triangle over since he spent time at NCCU and is familiar with the area.

Dear Dee,
Some dude on my website claims that Dwike Wilson wore a white button-down shirt, blue jeans and penny loafers while he was out on a recruiting visiit. My source is a person who goes by the username, "memyselfi." I am not sure what his last name is but, as you can see, he sounds like he is pretty legitimate. Please stop whatever you are doing and look into this matter immediately.
Thanks,
Thrilla
P.S- Me and the Mrs would like to hang out at the Four Season this weekend. Will you be available to baby sit?

I cannot belive that anyone who has been involved in recruiting in any form or fashion would give a second thought to the words of aggie4u & memyselfi- sounds to me aggie4 was at a college recruiting day for all students, if thats the case, & depending on when this event occurred, if any coach or recruiter was even near that school, the ncaa will want to talk to alot of people real soon. Also, how stupid would that have looked , all those recruiters at one school at one time for maybe 2 or 3 players. NOT!!!! memyselfi, i'm not sure if you are a player or a coach, several things in your account don't jive. depending on when this occurred, if you were a player you would never have been allowed to talk with a recruiter alone during school hours, you would not have been allowed to walk a coach back to the front and then greet TWO coaches from the same program THAT dont make sense. if you are a coach, why would you allow several schools on campus at the same time during school hours, were these visits scheduled during players study hall, aslo recruiters dont like being walked anywhere, they like to be seen alone to create a buzz about them being on campus, they would have found your office & remembered their way out. depending on when this incident occurred, lets hope the ncaa dosen't get wind of this.
There are several more things in each of these posts that i call into question- but you get the point

Not true, this happens all the time. They dont even have to inform the parents they are going by the school. They can just pop up and ask for the kid as long as its during the recruiting period. Administration and coaches at high schools normally go get the kid. There is a week that you see multiple coaches at one high school even for just 1 player, so he did probably have multiple coaches there for 3. This MOSTLY occurs during school hours or near the end of the day, so the student body can talk the kid up after the recruiter leaves. He will get "Hey man, you going to A&T?" for about a week after the visit. My only problem(which is the same one he had) is that he didn't have anything on to identify himself. How you suppose to create a buzz if no one knows where your from?

aggiedaddyofbige74,
I am a coach. It is very normal to have more than one coach on campus at one time during the spring. They show up unannounced in most cases. I walked him to the front b/c he wanted transcripts so we had to go to guidance. I have no reason at all to tell untrue stories. Its not that serious to me either and it didn't bother me that much, but this is a recruiting thread and I thought I should let you know why A&T might be missing out on area athletes. If Coach Frenchers has this area, then good. I know him to be a great recruiter, and hope to see him soon. Hey, I like Coach Wilson and I dont believe he is a bad recruiter. Can't say the man should be fired, dang. I just think he could have presented himself better that day he came here and to other area schools. People thought he was one of my boys visiting (ha, ha). Wear some A&T gear. That will create the buzz. Simple as that!

Frenchers has Durham for sure, but I'm not sure that translates into Vance, Warren, Granville, and Franklin counties. They are close, but you never know. Who do you coach for?

sorry if i came off so serious about this matter, part of my problem is that i am a newbie and i need to learn my place in this family. losing 24 games in a row is serious, i just feel we don't need any more negatives to bring this program down any further. I belive in speaking up for family

Maxell, how can you say that about that man. you obviously didnt know that the two qbs have good quarterback efficiency stats. Shelton Morgan is 97% and Herb Miller is 102%. herbs is better than sheltons because shelton throws more deep balls while herb throws short routes. and the lil bit of money that was given for recruitin pays for maybe 3 kids from cali on cheap flights for 2 days. good luck in rebuilding with that.

I say it because the areas that he is responsible for have clearly been the underachieving and mistake ridden areas since the beginning of the season. In addition, those mistakes have come at critical times. Passing efficiency stats can be deceiving because they don't reflect game effectiveness. I know there are better coaches out there for QBs and special teams, two critical facets of the game. Move him back to coaching TEs if you want to keep him.
Miller and Morgan have the raw talent, but they need solid teaching to develop into better QBs.
