Ferguson completed the game with 15 carries for 160 yards, while the Aggies offense finished with 334 total yards.
Why wasn't Ferguson given the ball more especially when A&T was ahead in the most of the second half?
This past Saturday, I saw Norfolk State's workhorse, Jones, get dropped 5 or 6 times for loses by SC State defense and yet NSU stayed with rushing Jones. Near the end of the game SC State, you can see SC State defensive line getting weaker. Jones was pushing the pile forward for 4 and 5 yards late in the 4th quarter and first overtime. Jones was so much on SC State mind that in the NSU first play in 2nd OT that Jones was able to execute a runningback option and pass the ball to an open receiver for a TD.
Think about this, Jones had 77 yards rushing but he had 27 rushes. And it worked to perfection at the end for a win.
A&T had the lead and they didn't use their workhorse. A&T should have forced MSU make adjustments and tire out their defense.

Have you seen our offensive line? Ferguson got most of his yards on a few big plays. He got yards despite the offensive line. The majority of the time the running game was shut down.

Two weeks ago people were complaining that he got the ball too much.
He could've been injured, he should be tired, there could be any number of reasons. There's so many other questions we can ask about tha game the question about why Fergie ain't get more carries is like number six or so on the list.
He got one of those carries on the last series...

Ferguson is averaging 7.1 yards per carry which is the highest in the MEAC since Mo Hicks averaged 7.2 ypc. There is no way we should be 0-6 with a tailback averaging those kind of numbers!

Come on Toppdogg and Dooms, first of all I am talking about the A&T vs Morgan State, the sixth game of the season and A&T is leading in the fourth quarter. The sixth game of the season with the Aggies having the third leading rusher in the conference. The Aggies had the lead in the third and fourth quarter. Do away with the 66 yard run and Furgenson still have 94 yards on 14 carries!!! What is going on in the game dictates what you should be doing not what some bonehead said about two games ago. The 96 yarder everyone is crowing about, it worked, let the church amen, but it was a high risk play. The Aggies don't have Tom Brady as their quarterback. Why did A&T coaches have enough confidence (although boneheaded one in my opinion) to call a pass play on their 4 yard line with a freshman quarterback prone to throw interceptions and fumbles -plus he sat out the previous game- but when the Aggies had to throw the football with 1:50 left in the game he is out and your running quarterback and lesser thrower is in?? On top of all of that you run the ball with no timeouts left. Come on congregation, we got to have a church meeting on this one. Let the choir say amen.

I'm just saying I've seen enough to know that my logic and the coaches' logic ain't the same. Mine is a lot closer to yours than theirs. They get paid to coach. I get paid to, well, use logic. But that's neither here nor there.
I'm sure they have an excellent reason for not giving him the ball more. "Halftime adjustments" or something like that.

It's called keeping defenses honest! Why play into the defenses hand when they're stacking the box.

Gator, It wasn't that deep. It's called: that's all he could get. We were 0-10 on third down for the game. We were not moving the ball, but we got a few big and timely plays.

Fergie is playing with an injury. What the injury is, I don't know. The only thing that Fobbs will say is, "he's all banged up"! That's why he got chased down and tackeled at the 1 yard line on that 66 yard run! Our O-line sucks, like TOPPDOGG said. Anything Ferg gets is on his own the majority of the time! Furthermore, I'm a firm believer that the running game opens up your passing game. Those 2 weapons used together will wear a defense down, moreso than just running the ball. The coaches had the right idea throughout the game, they just didn't know what to execute with 1:51 left in the game.

After reading the play-by-play I see that it was difficult for A&T to get their hands on the ball beyond midway of the 3rd quarter.
A&T did the quick strike for a TD to make it 17-13 but MSU held the ball most of the time afterwards. MSU controlled the ball most of the second half.

Ferguson broke a bone in his hand (don't know which one) in the Angel City Classic. I don't think that has anything to do with his being caught from behind. I think he lost a step from his knee injury last season.
