Born..Dude..You just dont get it..As I have stated before, as this is a mostly anonymous board, you have no clue as to what I have done , both monetarily and from a support aspect for Aggie Athletics as well as Academia.
You can only help those that want to help themselves. Fobbs has done alot to turn away alot of the players from the recent past, who can do alot to help the program. There is often talk that our NFLers dont do enough to hellp and give back, but the truth of the matter is, is that the family atmosphere that was around in the past is simply not invited with this coaching administration.
I know for a fact that a coalition of Deloatch, Coston, & Horton wanted to make a MAJOR contribution to the program, but was turned down by Coach Fobbs b/c of a few minor request. Again, you can only attempt to help those that want to help themselves, and know when they needed it. He can accept you guys cash, and blow smoke at ya, and you take everything that he says as gospel and get excited. People close to the program can see whats going on, and seem to want to be kept at bay.
Its one thing to be a FAN, and dont have any REAL connection to the players feelings. You dont know what its like to lose by 40, have to go to class all week and hear it, have coaches that you know are incompetent blasting you, and do it over and over again. If former players feel invited to come back and to be apart of the family, I believe with all my heart that they would be more than happy to support this coaches efforts.
-What makes you think that you can give a D1aa coach solutions from the stands? Aside from money. Money doesnt matter if you cant coach, develop or recruit talent. Virtually every other coach that we've had in the past has been succesful with a lack of resources and by being creative in their approach. Fobbs has the 30+ years of football experience and expertise, if he doesnt have any concrete solutions as the direction we should be going in, then im not convinced that he's even an average coach. I seriously doubt that he'll suck up his pride and listen to the solutions and suggestions of fans, when its clear that he hired puppets and yes men to hide his inabilities and lack of coaching knowledge. Just being honest.
-NO ONE, WANTS TO SEE US WIN AND TURN THE CORNER MORE THAN ME.... I JUST HATE THAT THE KIDS ARE IN THIS SITUATION. YOU ONLY GET 4 YEARS.

please elaborate. And when I say elaborate I mean please state facts. Why would he accept money from fans on this board but turn down money from former players?
And how come Marshall Glen, Doug Brown, Jermaine Brantley, and that dude from Florida who's brother used to be a linebacker- can't think of his name right now, all have active roles helping out this coaching staff but yet you say Fobbs turns away the help of former players?
Is that another one of your "Sagote is not even in summer school" facts?

BTW: I talked to Costin this summer while he was in training camp. I asked him what he thought about the current state of the program and he told me personally that he didn't even really keep up with A&T these days. He sounded like he was too busy concentrating on staying on an NFL roster. I think I still have that conversation on my digital recorder. I was going to turn it into a article but I never got around to it.
I'm not calling you a liar, but I think you may be mistaken about Big Juice. I don't think he was offering any money to this program.

Also, I just found out that Curtis Deloatch was on the sidelines last night and spoke to one of our BDV.com staff members. He said he would love to do an interview with our site.
Are you sure he was going to donate some major money to Fobbs and got turned down? Because you know all I have to do is ask him.

Lastly, I think I would respect you more if you didn't hide behind a keyboard. I say things that people do not always like but I have always been accountable and open to rebutals. People know my name is Semaj Marsh and that I am the skinny, good looking dude that comes out to the practices, games, press conference, etc.
Not long ago one of the coaches on this staff read something I said about a player on this site and didn't like it. He came to me like a man and said he thought I was out of line. He was able to do that because he knew who I was and because I didn't try to hide behind a keyboard after I made the statement.
It's easy to criticize real people and spread rumors over the Internet, but at the same time I think those real people should at least be able to face their accusors and look their critics in the eye.

Born, first off..I do respect what you do for aggie athletics and for football. But the fact of the matter is, is that you are a fan, and when you seek to have conversations with guys, they give you a fan answer. You dont have the personal relationships to get guys true feelings about the state of the program. When they respond to you, they will always give you a vanilla, politically correct answer, much like they give the other 6000 people in Greensboro who inquire about Aggie Football.
And are you seriously telling me that you think that Juice doesnt keep up or take pride in the place that molded him into an NFL player?! If you know anything about the league, alot of the locker room talk is geared towards the rivalries, conferences and collegiate playing experiences that most of these guys had. As recent as last year, guys that Juice played and lived with were on the roster, so to say that he has lost total interest is kind of absurd. Dont you think that it would be a tragedy that a guy would so quickly forget about the institution that molded him into an NFL prospect, and gave him an opportunity to make alot of money? Something is wrong with that picture if what you're trying to tell me is correct and I dont buy it. Since a donation to the football program would be tax deductible (and these guys are in the highest tax bracket) there is really no reason for them to not ant to shell out some cash. They & their accountants are way to smart to just let Uncle Sam take it all...
W/ respect to your comments about the "student/grad assistants"... WHen you pay a coach 165K and dont have the remaining resources to hirer experienced coordinators or coaches, then you must take what you can get in a sense. Brown, Reliford, Glenn = Free Help.. These guys know the game of football, seem to work hard and have a connection with A&T...
No one has a reason to lie about guys in succesful situations wanting to donate money to their alma mater..its only right.. I cant elaborate for obvious reasons.
Please offer me at least one example from around the country of where a fan offered a solution, and that solution lead to an increase in wins or an increase of on the field production. Born, you cant make game adjustments, run drills at practive, break down film, or develop a game plan, so I'm not really sure what kind of solution you're looking for. Money wont make you get the x's and o's part of it, and thats where we need the help. I think its proven that our talent is on par with the majority of the teams we've played, so I'm tired of all the excuses given.

You dissapoint me, jaffe. You made all these statements about Fobbs running off former players and turning down donations .. then I check you on it and you can not provide any proof whatsoever.
Dude, if you have to create some secret identity to get things off your chest and not even try to support your argument with facts for "obvious reasons", then why even waste time typing that stuff on this board.? Seriously dude, that is what high school girls do. He said, she said.
I appreciate that you enjoy this website, but if all you want to do is post rumors and criticize people behind the safety of your computer screen, then maybe you would be better suited posting on myspace or facebook.

DJ, it doesn't make sense because it didn't happen .. just like Fobbs turning away all his former players ... except Marshall Glen, Doug Brown, et al.
Fobbs has enough reasons to get criticized. I don't think we need to start inventing extra stuff.
