I thought I read somewhere where famu's qb is out for the season? Sent from my ADR6400L using proboards He is certainly INJURED, but I don't know if he is listed as "OUT," right now. (I am on NBA assignment this week in Miami and not in Tallahassee today, so I don't know what the buzz is there.)

(I am on NBA assignment this week in Miami and not in Tallahassee today, so I don't know what the buzz is there.) here's the latest "injury report" that i could find on famu sensational qb, damien fleming. looks like famu won't be the only team in this weekend's game who will have to prepare for two qb's...

He's hobbling and has a badly bruised shoulder on his throwing arm so his mobility isn't all there. If we get to him enough early, FAMU doesn't have a creditable passing option behind him. I think they will try their best to run the ball as much as they can. They have to if Fleming can't move in the pocket or take a hit.

coach taylor is saying its primarily a "non-throwing" shoulder injury that they're mostly concerned about. if we can generate enough pressure on fleming (if he plays) and get some hits on that shoulder, we'll either put him out of the game or have him playing very tentatively. either way is a plus for us. even if we don't sack him, we've got to get some "legal" clean hits on that shoulder.
famu is coming off of a bye week, so he's had some time heal. let's just hope he hasn't had "enough" time to heal. taylor says they won't miss a beat if they have to go with their backup. but i like our chances much better with their backup than i do with a healthy fleming in the lineup.
the video/press conference was held this past tuesday and taylor said during the press conference that he won't know fleming's status for this weekend's game until he sees him in practice at tuesday's practice.
we'll have a much better chance of beating famu if fleming doesn't play...
